Observation On The Clinical Effect Of Tai-yi Moxibustion At The Starting And Ending Points Of Muscles Combined With Acupuncture On Spastic Paralysis Of Biceps Brachii After Stroke

Obj ective:To observe the clinical effect of Tai-Yi moxibustion at the starting and ending points of muscles combined with acupuncture on spastic paralysis of biceps brachii after stroke.Methods:According to a random number table,66 patients with spastic paralysis of the biceps brachii after stroke were divided into a treatment group(Tai-Yi Moxibustion Combined with Acupuncture Group)and a control group(Rou-tine Acupuncture Group),with 33 patients in each group.Both groups were given basic treatment for a total of 5 courses of treatment.Before and after treatment,the modified Ashworth scale(MAS)grading,the simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment scale-upper extremity(FMA)score,and the modified Barthel index assessment scale(MBI)score of the two groups were observed and recorded,respectively.The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared and all data were statistically analyzed using statistical methods.Results:1.Before treatment,the general data(age,gender,course of disease)and observation indicators(MAS grade,FMA score,MBI score)of the treatment group and the control group were compared without statistical significance and were comparable.2.There were statistically significant differences in the MAS scores,FMA scores,and MBI scores between the two groups after treatment and before and after treatment within the group(P<0.05).3.The total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 93.55%and 78.1 3%,respectively.The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Tai-yi moxibustion at the starting and ending points of muscles combined with acupuncture can improve the biceps motor function,spasticity degree and quality of daily life of patients with spastic paralysis of biceps brachii after stroke.2.Tai-yi moxibustion at the starting and ending points of muscles combined with acupuncture is superior to conventional acupuncture in improving the clinical efficacy of spastic paralysis of biceps brachii after stroke.
