Objectives: To explore the relationship between surface electromyography and muscle tension in patients with biceps spasm after stroke, and to analyze the influencing factors of surface electromyography under the same muscle tension grade. Methods: To evaluate the MAS of patients with biceps spasm after stroke,to measure the surface EMG signals of the biceps brachii caput longus and the biceps brachii caput brevis, and to analyze the correlation between the MAS and the surface EMG signals. And analyze the relationship between age, disease duration stroke, muscle with biceps surface EMG in different MAS classification. Results: The iEMG and RMSavg values measured in the resting state were positively related to the MAS classification of the biceps brachii caput longus and the biceps brachii caput brevis, which were statistically significant(P <0.05).When the biceps brachii caput longus and the biceps brachii caput brevis’ MAS is classified as grade I and grade I+,muscle strength showed a correlation with iEMG and RMSavg values.Muscle strength was an influencing factor of iEMG and RMSavg values and had statistical significance(P < 0.05).When the biceps brachii caput longus is classified into grades II and III,muscle strength is correlated with iEMG and RMSavg values.Muscle strength is an influencing factor of iEMG and RMSavg values, and has statistical significance(P <0.05).When the biceps brachii caput brevis’ MAS was classified as grade II,age was a factor influencing the size of the iEMG value, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).When the biceps brachii caput longus’ MAS grade was grade I,the course of disease was an influencing factor of iEMG value and RMSavg value, which had statistical significance(P <0.05).Conclusions:1.In the resting state, the MAS classification of patients with biceps spasm after stroke was positively correlated with the integral electromyogram(i EMG)and the root mean square(RMSavg).2.When the MAS grade of patients with biceps spasm after stroke is below grade III,muscle strength is an influencing factor for the size of iEMG and RMSavg values under the same MAS grade. |
