Objective: To comprehensively analyze the relevant factors of postoperative recurrence of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps treated by endoscopic sinus surgery. Methods: The clinical data of 584 patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps who underwent endoscopic surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology,First Hospital of China Medical University from January 2015 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the prognosis, they were divided into recurrent group(n=93)and non-recurrent group(n=491).The clinical data of the two groups were compared, and the relationship between the relevant factors and the prognosis of the patients was discussed through multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results: There were statistically significant differences between the recurrent group and the non-recurrent group in drinking habits, previous endoscopic sinus surgery history,co-history of allergic rhinitis,co-history of asthma, percentage of eosinophils in peripheral blood, and total serum Ig E(p<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the percentage of eosinophils in peripheral blood, the history of asthma comorbidity, the history of previous endoscopic sinus surgery, and the drinking habit were main related factors for the recurrence of chronic sinusitis patients with nasal polyps after endoscopic surgery(p<0.05).Conclusion: Drinking habits, previous endoscopic sinus surgery history, comorbid history of allergic rhinitis, comorbid history of asthma, percentage of eosinophils in peripheral blood, and total serum Ig E are risk factors for postoperative recurrence of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, and are relatively easy to obtain before operation. The percentage of eosinophils in peripheral blood, the history of asthma comorbidity, the history of previous endoscopic sinus surgery, and drinking habits were the main related factors.
