A Study On The Application Rules Of Pills And Powder Of Treatise On Febrile And Miscellaneous Diseases

Objective: Through the analysis of the original text of the Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases,the application rules of the 23 pills and 39 powders are discussed,summarizing the characteristics of drug use,preparation methods,administration methods,formulae rules and the main treatment of diseases.Combined with the development and modern use of pills and powders,the development and application prospect of pills and powders were discussed,so as to provide ideas for clinical rational use of pills and powders.Methods: Literature research.The development of preparation and application of pellet powder was analyzed and summarized.Textual research.Combined with the data analysis of TCM inheritance auxiliary platform,the relationship between medication characteristics,compatibility and symptoms was summarized.Results: The preparation and application of Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases have the following characteristics:(1)Insect medicine due to high temperature heating odor,the active ingredient is difficult to dissolve in water and other reasons,suitable for pills.Insect medicine in the pill and powder work in blood breaking and blood stasis,for "Xuxue","Ganxue","Nuemu" and so on.(2)Sixteen seed drugs,such as peach kernels,almonds,and lepidium seed,are used in the classical prescription pill and powder,which play the role of excipient in the pill and adhesive in the powder.(3)Four pills and powder formulations used toxic drugs,involving 16 flavors such as croton,pinellia,and gansui,among which aconite,ginellia,and aconitum needed to be boiled for a long time to reduce the toxicity.The frequency of the above drugs in pill and powder formulations is significantly less than that in decoction formulations,and they need to reduce the dosage,warm preparation,phase killing compatibility and other methods to achieve attenuation.The effective components of MEDS from croton and descurainia were insoluble in water.They are only suitable for pill and powder,and can play the role of adhesive.(4)Pills are not always used to treat chronic diseases,and powders are not always used for emergencies.Pills used for acute and severe cases are mixed with toxic,potent drugs and insect drugs,and the number of drug flavors is less.The method of taking or not taking any more is used,and the disease is stopped immediately.There are a large number of pills and powders for the treatment of chronic diseases,showing the characteristics of combination of cold and heat,reinforcing and reducing at the same time,and taking for several months.(5)Powder has many uses,such as boiling,external use,etc.The toxic drugs containing pinellia and aconite in powder prescription are often boiled and dispersed.The Toufengmo powder,Wangbuliu powder and Shechuangzi powder can be used for external application.They are used to treat headache,golden sore,belt and so on.Conclusion: The efficacy of the same drug will be significantly different due to different preparation methods and administration methods.The selection of dosage forms in the Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases is determined by the severity of illness,the toxic and side effects of prescription drugs and the effects of drugs.By comparing the preparation and application of pills and powder in the theory of typhoid miscellaneous diseases,it is found that besides the common water pills,honey pills,paste pills and rammed pills,there are boiled pills,boiled pills and external suppositories.Its preparation methods are varied and have a great influence on the later dosage forms.In clinical application,the pill powder has the advantages of easy to control the dosage,free from decoctions,small taste and so on.The classical prescription is selected to be prepared as a patent medicine,and a combination of various dosage forms can be adopted according to the treatment needs.The development and application of pellets has a high value,but now the traditional pellets are less in the market,and are gradually replaced by new dosage forms such as granules and capsules.How to make the best use of its advantages is still worth exploring.
