| Objective:The effectiveness of the combination of acupuncture and medicine in the treatment of slow-transmission constipation with spleen deficiency and qi stagnation was investigated based on the theory of “plugging the cause and using the effect”.Methods:In this clinical study,Hovenia pill plus and minus combined with abdominal acupuncture was used to treat patients with slow transmission constipation due to spleen deficiency and qi stagnation. The 72 patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into 36 patients in the treatment group(Hovenia pill plus and minus combined with abdominal acupuncture)and 36 patients in the control group(oral proscapride succinate)using the random number table method, and the duration of treatment was 4 weeks. The results were analyzed and processed by SPSS22.0 to draw conclusions.Result:1.A total of 68 cases meeting the study criteria were collected,33 in the treatment group and 35 in the control group. The total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.91%,the control group was 82.86%,and the total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P <0.05).2.(1)Comparison of scores of constipation symptoms(dry stool, uncomfortable defecation or laborious defecation, reduced defecation times, fatigue, abdominal distension or abdominal pain, and less food):between groups: within groups: the treatment group(P <0.05);the control group had no significant improvement in "stay and less food"(P> 0.05),and the other symptoms(P<0.05).Between groups: in terms of improving the "dry stool knot" and "reduced number of defecation",the two groups were equally effective(P> 0.05),and the other symptom treatment groups were better than the control group(P <0.05).(2)Comparison of TCM syndrome score: both groups of drugs could reduce the TCM syndrome score(P <0.05),but the improvement effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P <0.05).(3)Comparison of Qo L scores: the score of Qo L scale in both groups were lower than before treatment(P <0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group in improving quality of life(P <0.05).(4)Wexner Systematic evaluation of constipation: both groups could reduce the Wexner score of constipation patients(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P <0.05).(5)Comparison of colonic transport test: the treatment group was comparable to the control group in improving colonic transport function(P> 0.05).3.Patients were followed up 1month after the course of treatment.3 cases of recurrence were found in the treatment group and 10 cases in the control group, and the recurrence rate of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).4.During this study, none of the patients experienced allergies or other serious adverse reactions, and both groups had safer treatment methods. Conclusion:Hovenia pill plus reduction combined with abdominal acupuncture is safe and effective in the treatment of slow transmission constipation with spleen deficiency and qi stagnation evidence, with a low short-term recurrence rate.It can significantly improve constipation symptoms,TCM symptoms, patients’ quality of life and reduce the Wexner constipation system evaluation score. |
