Objective: To investigate the distribution characteristics of TCM constitution and the distribution pattern with related indexes in non-obese fatty liver patients. Methods:In this cross-sectional study,300 patients diagnosed with non-obese fatty liver from January 2021 to September 2022 at Jilin Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the study subjects. The physical constitution of non-obese fatty liver patients was identified by referring to the "TCM physical constitution classification criteria",and the fasting glucose, blood lipid, liver function and uric acid indexes of non-obese fatty liver patients were investigated to analyze the distribution pattern of relevant indexes and TCM physical constitution of non-obese fatty liver patients.Results:1.gender distribution: 300 cases were included in this study,162 males and 138 females, accounting for 54% and 46% of the total sample, respectively, indicating a higher prevalence of males than females in terms of age distribution.2.Age distribution: 300 cases were included in this study, with age distribution between 26 and 75 years old,of which 97 cases were ≤44 years old,121 cases were 45-59 years old,and 82 cases were >59 years old.32.3%,40.3%,and 27.4% of the total sample were young,middle-aged,and old, respectively, suggesting a higher prevalence of middle-aged people in the age distribution.3.Household distribution: 300 cases were included in the sample of this study, and the urban population accounted for 62.3% of the non-obese fatty liver patients, which is a larger proportion than the rural area.4.Physical distribution: The distribution of non-obese fatty liver was most frequently distributed by damp-heat(29.0%),followed by qi-vacuity(20.7%),and the rest were,in descending order,ping-he(13.3%),phlegm-damp(11.7%),yin-vacuity(8.3%),qi-yu(8.0%),yang-vacuity(4.4%),blood stasis(4.0%),and special endowment(0.6%).5.Comparison of physical constitution in different ages: damp-heat,calm-heat,and qi-vacant constitution predominate in young people;phlegm-damp,damp-heat,and qi-vacant constitution predominate in middle-aged people;qi-vacant,yin-vacant,and damp-heat constitution predominate in elderly people.6.Comparison of physical constitution by gender:Damp-heat,Qi-vacant,and ping-harmonic constitutions were dominant in male patients;Qi-vacant,Damp-heat,and Phlegm-damp constitutions were dominant in female patients.7.Comparison of relevant indicators with different body types: GGT and HDL-C were not significantly different on each body type(P > 0.05).And ALT,TG,LDL-C,FBG,UA were statistically different on each constitution type(P < 0.05).8.Regression analysis: phlegm-damp constitution was prone to TG and LDL-C abnormalities,Yin-deficiency constitution was prone to FBG abnormalities, and damp-heat constitution was prone to ALT and UA abnormalities, which were statistically significant(P< 0.05).Conclusion:1.the proportion of biased constitution is higher in non-obese fatty liver patients, and damp-heat,qi-vacant,and calmness are their main susceptible constitutions.2.Among non-obese fatty liver patients, different types of constitution were associated with the levels of fasting glucose, lipids, uric acid, and liver function.Phlegm-damp constitution was prone to abnormal TG and LDL-C,Yin-deficient constitution to abnormal FBG,and Damp-Heat constitution to abnormal ALT and UA.
