Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of nourishing liver and relieving yu granules in the treatment of metabolic associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)in post-menopausal women, and to objectively evaluate the efficacy and safety of nourishing liver and relieving yu granules in the clinical treatment of MAFLD in post-menopausal women. Methods:The 72 patients in this study were recruited from the Department of Liver,Spleen and Stomach Diseases of the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Chinese Medicine and were randomly divided into treatment and control groups.Control group: Silymarin capsules were given 2 capsules/dose,taken orally 3 times a day.Treatment group: Based on the control group,1 sachet/dose(10g)of liver relief granules was given,to be taken orally 3 times a day for a total of 24 weeks. The patients’ clinical symptoms,liver/spleen CT ratio, liver enzymes, blood lipids, blood glucose and TCM syndrome score should be examined and recorded before enrollment.24 weeks later, the patients’ relevant data after treatment should be examined and recorded again, and the data of both groups should be analysed to assess the efficacy.Results:1.Comparison of the total efficacy of the symptoms: the control group(74.19%)was significantly lower than the treatment group(87.88%),P<0.05.2.Comparison of the efficacy of the symptoms: the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the symptoms of abdominal distension, loose stools, right hypochondriacal pain, weakness, chest tightness, irritability and insomnia(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups in the efficacy of the symptoms of abdominal pain and diarrhea, and good tai-hui(P>0.05).3.Comparison of experimental results: liver enzymes: AST and ALT values decreased in both groups(P<0.05);compared between groups, the treatment group had a significant advantage(P<0.05);blood lipids: TC and TG values decreased after treatment compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);compared between groups, the treatment group had a certain advantage(P<0.05);blood glucose: both groups could reduce FPG values in both groups(P<0.05);no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05);liver/spleen CT ratio: the total effective rate in the control group(41.94%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(63.63%)(P<0.05);Hamilton Anxiety and Depression Scale: the anxiety and depression status in both groups improved after treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group had a prominent advantage when compared between the groups(P<0.05).The treatment group had a significant advantage over the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: The results showed that in the clinical treatment of postmenopausal women with metabolism-related fatty liver disease(liver depression and spleen deficiency evidence),Nourishing Liver and Relieving Depression Pill was effective in improving their clinical symptoms, and its advantages were mainly in improving symptoms such as right hypochondriacal pain, abdominal distension, loose stools, weakness and chest tightness. Both groups could effectively reduce the liver/spleen CT ratio, some lipid indices, liver enzyme indices and fasting blood glucose in postmenopausal female MAFLD patients. The treatment group was better than the control group in improving clinical symptoms and liver enzyme indices,liver/spleen CT ratio, blood lipids and anxiety and depression status.
