Objective: This study observes the clinical efficacy of Graphene Warming Acupuncture Point patch in treating primary dysmenorrhea, aiming to promoting the Graphene Warming Acupuncture Point Patch. Methods: Seventy-two patients with primary dysmenorrhea who attended the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and the Department of Gynecology at the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January2022 to October 2022 and students enrolled in Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into 36 cases each in the graphene warming acupuncture point patch group and the comfort patch group.Affected by the epidemic and shedding some cases, the graphene warming acupuncture point patch group completed clinical observation of 32 patients, and the comfort patch group completed clinical observation of 31 patients. Both groups of patients started to apply graphene warming acupuncture point paste 7 days before menstruation and stopped 3 days after menstruation, for 10 consecutive days,5 hours per day,10 days as a treatment cycle,a total of 3 menstrual cycles.VAS scores,COX symptom pain levels, and duration scores are observed every menstrual cycles. The Mc Gill pain questionnaires and quality of life rating scales before and after treatment were observed within the two groups and between the groups for each cycle of treatment.Results:1.General Comparison: There was no significant difference between the two groups including age, duration of menstruation, duration of illness(P>0.05).2.Pain degree and duration before and after treatment of VAS score and COX symptom scale: The graphene warming acupuncture point patch group and the comfort patch group were treated for 3 months, respectively, and compared within their respective groups. The VAS score and COX dysmenorrhea symptom pain degree and duration score of treatment group were highly statistically significant compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS scores, pain level of COX symptoms and duration of each menstrual cycle treated in the comfort patch group(P>0.05);When comparing the two groups, there were significant differences in VAS scores,COX pain level scores of dysmenorrhea symptoms and duration scores in each treatment cycle(P<0.05).3.the Simplified Mc Gill Pain Questionnaire, the Quality of Life: After 3 menstrual cycles of treatment, the PRI and PPI of the treatmentment group were statistically significant(P<0.05)and the PRI and PPI of the comfort patch group were not statistically significant(P>0.05)after 3 months of treatment when compared within the two group;the PRI and PPI of both groups were significantly different(P<0.05).Quality of life scores are evaluated by a comprehensive assessment of physical function, somatic pain, and social function. After 3menstrual cycles of treatment, graphene warming acupoint patches significantly improved physical function, somatic pain, and social function in patients with dysmenorrhea(P<0.05).Quality of life scores are evaluated by a combination of physical function, somatic pain, and social function. After 3 menstrual cycles of treatment, physiological function, somatic pain, and social function in the graphene warming acupuncture point patch group were significantly higher after treatment than before treatment(P<0.05)and significantly higher than in the placebo patch group.4 Rating Scale: After 3 months of treatment, the total efficiency of treatment group was87.5%,and the total efficiency of control group was 32.3%.Conclusion: Graphene warming acupuncture point patch can significantly relieve the pain of primary dysmenorrhea, shorten the duration of pain of primary dysmenorrhea and improve the quality of life of patients with dysmenorrhea.
