Objective: The research investigates the clinical efficacy of graphene warming acupuncture point patch in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea(Qi stagnation and blood stasis type)to provide a justification for its clinical application. Methods: In the current survey,we selected 60 patients with primary dysmenorrhea(Qi stagnation and blood stasis type)who met the inclusion criteria and divided them into trial group and control group according to simple randomization methodology, with the former treated with graphene warming acupuncture point patch and the latter treated with blank acupuncture point patch. Both groups started treatment 7 days before the onset of menstruation, once daily for 10 consecutive days, with one menstrual cycle as a course of treatment, and continued for 3 courses of treatment, and the effect was evaluated after the 3courses of treatment. The VAS scores,CMSS scores and dysmenorrhea TCM symptom scores of the patients were recorded one week before enrolling in the group and on the first day of the end of the first, second and third menstrual cycles, and the above results were statistically analyzed by SPSS 26.0 software. Results: Baseline comparison: A total of 58 patients completed all treatments in this study,29 patients each in the trial and control groups. When comparing the general conditions(age, duration of illness,VAS score,CMSS score and dysmenorrhea TCM symptom score)of the two groups before treatment, the discrepancies were not statistically significant(P>0.05)and were comparable for proceeding to the next step of the study.Comparison before and after treatment:(1)In comparison between groups: compared with the control group, the differences in VAS scores,CMSS scores and dysmenorrhea TCM symptom scores of patients in the trial group at the end of each course of treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05).Regarding the total effective rate, the test group was as high as 82.76% while the control group was only 24.14%,with a significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P<0.05).(2)Within-group comparison: Compared to the pre-treatment period, the VAS score,CMSS score and dysmenorrhoea TCM symptom score in the trial group improved significantly at the end of the first, second and third treatment sessions, which was statistically significant(P< 0.05).In addition, the decrease in VAS scores,CMSS scores and dysmenorrhoea Chinese medicine symptom scores after the first course of treatment was particularly significant in the test group compared to the second and third courses.Compared to the pre-treatment period, the improvement in VAS scores,CMSS scores and dysmenorrhoea CMSS scores in the control group at the end of the first, second and third treatment sessions was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).Conclusion: This research has confirmed the cost-effectiveness of the graphene warming acupuncture point patch in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhoea(Qi stagnation and blood stasis type).
