Bushen Guyuan Decoction In The Treatment Of Recurrent Urinary Tract Infection In The Elderly (Laolin) Clinical Research

Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Bushen Guyuan Decoction in the treatment of recurrent urinary tract infection in the elderly,and to provide effective treatment for recurrent urinary tract infection in the elderly.Methods: 72 elderly patients who met the diagnostic criteria of Chinese and Western medicine for recurrent urinary tract infection were randomly divided into control group(36cases)and treatment group(36 cases)according to the order of treatment.The treatment group was treated with self-made Bushen Guyuan decoction,decocted with water,twice a day,150 ml each time;Control group was given Nianganning granules,3 times a day,one bag each time.The treatment time was 3 weeks.The total clinical efficacy of the two groups in the treatment of urinary tract infection was observed respectively.The TCM syndrome scores,white blood cell count and bacteria count in urine routine were compared before and after treatment,and the safety indexes of liver and kidney function were recorded before and after treatment.Follow-up was conducted 6 months after drug withdrawal to observe the recurrence of the patients.Results: Results: In the whole course of treatment,there was one patient shedding in the treatment group and the control group,and the final remaining 70 patients were observed clinically.The results of statistical analysis were as follows:1.After treatment,the total effective rate of the treatment group was 85.7% higher than that of the control group,and the comparison between the two groups was significant(p <0.05),indicating that the overall therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.2.After treatment,there were significant differences between the two groups in improving the symptoms of increased frequency of urination,urgency of urination,pain of urination,sudden onset of exertion,waist and knee soreness,tiredness and fatigue,less breath and lazy speech,and nocturia(p < 0.05).The effect of the treatment group in improving TCM syndrome was better than the control group.3.After treatment,the number of white blood cells and bacteria in the urine of the two groups were decreased,and the comparison between the groups before and after treatment and after treatment(p < 0.05)was statistically significant,indicating that the two groups had the effect of reducing the number of white blood cells and bacteria in the urine,and the treatment group was more obvious than the control group.4.The patients were followed up 6 months after drug withdrawal,and the recurrence rate of the treatment group and the control group was 13.33% and 29.63%,respectively.The results showed that the treatment group had advantages in long-term treatment effect and was not easy to relapse.5.There were no abnormalities in liver and kidney function,no adverse reactions,toxicity and side effects in the two groups.Conclusion: Bushen Guyuan Decoction in the treatment of elderly patients with recurrent urinary tract infection,the overall clinical therapeutic effect is considerable,can effectively reduce the urine white blood cell count,bacterial count;It can obviously improve the TCM syndrome of the patients,especially in the improvement of the symptoms of immediate onset of labor,fatigue,less qi and lazy speech,waist and knee pain and weakness,nocturia.And in reducing the recurrence rate of patients,the effect is more prominent,long-term treatment effect is ideal,which shows that Bushen Guyuan decoction in the treatment of this disease in improving TCM syndromes,reduce the recurrence rate of patients has advantages.
