Objective: Through carrying out a randomized controlled study on the treatment of knee osteoarthritis with Jiejie Chubi TCM comprehensive program, the effect of Jiejie Chubi TCM comprehensive program on the quality of life of patients with chronic knee osteoarthritis was evaluated from the perspective of improving the biomechanical function of patients’ knee joints, providing research evidence for the promotion and application of the program. Methods: Seventy-two patients with knee osteoarthritis who met the diagnostic and inclusion criteria were recruited and randomly divided into an observation group of 36 patients with Jiejie Chubi TCM comprehensive program and a control group of 36 patients with modern rehabilitation treatment program using a random number table method. The observation group was treated with a comprehensive TCM program of Jiejie Chubi combined with massage therapy and ultra-micro needle knife therapy, while the control group was treated with a modern rehabilitation treatment program of fascial knife therapy combined with exercise therapy. The treatment courses of the two groups were the same.According to the above treatment, once every other day, three times as a course of treatment,a total of two courses of treatment. Before treatment, after the first treatment, and after the completion of two courses of treatment, the gait parameters(step length, pace, dual support phase),concise health status questionnaire scores, and VAS scores of the two groups were evaluated, and the differences between and within the group of various indicators of the two groups of patients before and after treatment were compared.A study was conducted to analyze the correlation between SF-36,VAS scores, and gait parameters. Results: After the first treatment and after the end of treatment, the gait kinematics parameters of the two groups of patients increased in step length and pace, decreased in dual support phase, increased in SF-36 score, and decreased in VAS score. The experimental group was superior to the control group.(1)Gait parameters(stride length, pace, dual support phase)results: Compared with before treatment, after the first treatment and after completing two courses of treatment, the stride length and pace of both groups significantly increased, while the proportion of dual support phase significantly decreased.Compared between the two groups, the experimental group was better than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)SF-36 comparison: Compared with before treatment, after the first treatment and after completing two courses of treatment, the SF-36 scores of both groups of patients were significantly higher than before treatment. The difference in SF-36 scores between the two groups at three time points before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the experimental group was better than the control group(P<0.05).(3)Comparison of VAS scores: Compared with before treatment, after the first treatment and after completing two courses of treatment, the VAS scores of both groups of patients were significantly reduced compared to before treatment. The difference in VAS scores between the two groups at three time points before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).(4)Correlation analysis between pain and gait parameters: Step length and pace are negatively correlated with pain, while support phase is positively correlated with pain.Conclusion:(1)Both the traditional Chinese medicine comprehensive scheme for resolving knot and removing arthralgia and the modern rehabilitation treatment scheme can improve the quality of life of patients with knee Osteoarthritis, relieve pain and improve gait Kinematics parameters. The Jiejie Chubi Traditional Chinese Medicine Comprehensive Plan group is superior to the modern rehabilitation treatment plan group in improving quality of life, reducing pain, and improving gait.(2)The pain of patients with knee Osteoarthritis may be the influencing factor of step length, step speed, and the proportion of double support phase. With the aggravation of the pain, the step length of patients decreases, step speed decreases, and the proportion of double support phase increases. |
