Objective: To observe the effect of Jiejie Chubi comprehensive TCM program on lower limb muscle strength in patients with knee osteoarthritis, explore the therapeutic effect of Jiejie Chubi comprehensive TCM program on knee osteoarthritis, and provide research evidence for the promotion and application of this program. Methods: Recruit 68 patients with knee osteoarthritis who meet the diagnostic and inclusion criteria.Using a randomized grouping method, they were divided into a treatment group and a control group, and their clinical efficacy was observed. The experimental group was treated with a traditional Chinese medicine comprehensive program of relieving knots and removing arthralgia, with specific methods including massage therapy and needle knife therapy. The control group was treated with modern rehabilitation therapy, including fascial knife therapy and exercise therapy. The treatment was conducted once every other day, with three sessions being a course of treatment. After two courses of treatment, clinical data were collected. To evaluate the changes in the indexes of the patient’s 30 s seat test, quadriceps femoris and hamstring muscle strength rating test,WOMAC osteoarthritis index score scale,VAS score scale,Berg score scale, eye closure single leg upright test, and lower limb function LEFS function score scale before and after treatment.Results:1.The two groups of patients displayed a marked increase in quadriceps femoris muscle strength, hamstring muscle strength, and 30 s chair tests after treatment, with significant differences compared to before(P<0.05).Additionally,a significant difference was observed between the treatment and control groups(P<0.05).2.The scores of WOMAC and VAS in both groups significantly declined posttreatment;the lower limb function LEFS scale was significantly higher than before treatment(P<0.05).Additionally,a significant distinction was observed between the treatment and control groups(P<0.05).3.A significant difference between the treatment and control groups was observed(P<0.05),with both groups displaying a significant increase in Berg balance scale score and standing time of one foot with eyes closed after treatment(P<0.05).4.The experimental group’s clinical efficacy was highly significant, with 6 cases being cured,19 cases being significantly effective,6 being effective, and 3 being ineffective, resulting in a total effective rate of 91.18%.In contrast, the control group’s clinical efficacy was 82.31% with 2 cases cured,16 cases being significantly effective,10 cases being effective, and 6 cases ineffective.Statistical comparison of these two groups was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Jiejie Jiebi comprehensive TCM program and modern rehabilitation treatment program can both improve the muscle strength of lower limbs, improve balance function, and alleviate pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis.2.After treatment, the Jiejie Jiebi TCM comprehensive treatment group is superior to the modern rehabilitation treatment group in terms of improving lower limb muscle strength, improving balance function, and alleviating pain.
