Clinical Investigation Of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction Associated With Ear Point Pressing Bears In The Treatment Of Primary Trigeminal Neuralgia

Objective:Based on the syndrome differentiation theory of traditional Chinese medicine,this study combined disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation,and adopted the method of internal administration of traditional Chinese medicine combined with external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,to explore the therapeutic effect of Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction plus reduction combined with auricular point pressure bean on primary trigeminal neuralgia,in order to provide a safe and effective TCM treatment plan for patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia.Methods:In this study,60 patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia who met the study criteria and whose TCM syndrome differentiation was phlegm-stasis blocking collaterals were selected from the encephalopathy outpatient department of Jiangxi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Dec.2021 to Dec.2022,and the patients were divided into control group and observation group with 30 cases in each group by random number table method.The treatment group was treated with Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction combined with auricular point pressure bean,and the control group was treated with carbamazepine tablets,the course of treatment was2 weeks.Observation index before treatment: general clinical data,pain symptom score,pain index(visual analog score),TCM symptom score,safety index;observation index after treatment: pain index(visual analog score),pain symptom score,TCM symptom score,safety index;finally,the data were analyzed by SPSS25.0 statistical analysis software.Results:1.This study completed the analysis of 60 cases.Before treatment,there was no statistical difference between the two groups in general conditions(sex,age,affected side,number of pain,course of disease,degree of illness),VAS pain index,pain symptom score,TCM symptom score.2.After 2 weeks of treatment,the VAS pain index,pain symptom score and TCM symptom score of 2 groups were all P<0.001 compared with before treatment,and there were significant differences between 2 groups before and after treatment.3.After 2 weeks of treatment,there was no significant difference in VAS pain index and pain symptom score between the two groups(P>0.05),while there was significant difference in TCM symptom score between the two groups(P<0.05).4.After 2 weeks of treatment,the clinical efficacy of the two groups was analyzed.The total effective rate of the observation group was 83.33%,and that of the control group was 73.33%.Statistical analysis and comparison of the total effective rate of the two groups showed that P>0.05,the difference was not statistically significant.In terms of the efficacy of TCM symptoms in the two groups of patients,the total effective rate of the control group was 66.67%,while the total effective rate of the observation group was up to 86.67%.After statistical comparison of the results,P<0.05 was obtained,indicating that the difference between the two groups of data was statistically significant5.After 2 weeks of treatment,the safety of the two groups was analyzed:there were no abnormalities in vital signs(respiration,blood pressure,heart rate,pulse),biochemical indexes,electrocardiogram and physical examination.2 patients in the observation group had gastrointestinal discomfort and other related reactions.8 patients in the control group had discomfort such as drowsiness and dizziness,and the symptoms were mild after evaluation,which did not affect the analysis of this experiment.Conclusion:1.The results of this study have preliminarily confirmed that the Clinical study on the treatment of patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia with modified Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction combined with auricular point pressure beans is equivalent to that of carbamazepine tablets,both of which can improve the pain symptom score and VAS pain of patients.Index and TCM symptom scores significantly improved the quality of life of patients.2.Modified Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction combined with auricular point pressure beans can improve the TCM symptoms of patients better than Carbamazepine Tablets,and can more effectively reduce the TCM symptom scores of patients and improve the treatment effect.And while ensuring the clinical efficacy,compared with carbamazepine tablets,the incidence of adverse reactions is also lower,and the advantages in safety are more prominent,and it is worthy of further research.
