Objective Constipation is a common disease in clinical practice. In recent years, the incidence rate has increased year by year.In clinical practice, mild symptoms can be seen in the reduction of stool frequency,no loose stool, hard stool, defecation is laborious,no sense of exhaustion, abdominal distension and pain, mouth pain and fatigue, and the anus often wants to exhaust. In severe cases of late stage, there is a risk of colon cancer. This disease often occurs repeatedly, and its clinical treatment is difficult, which seriously affects the quality of life and endangers physical and mental health.Western medicine treatment of this disease has the characteristics of rapid symptom relief, but it has the problems of easy relapse and many side effects. Therefore,it is of certain clinical significance to explore a safer and effective treatment plan from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine theory. Therefore, this topic aims to discuss the treatment of Qi-deficiency constipation with modified Buzhong Yiqi Decoction based on the theory of "all diseases originate from Qi",so as to make corresponding evaluation on the efficacy of this prescription and further study the clinical application value of this prescription. Methods According to the different conditions of the patients and in strict accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the experimental design,60 patients with Qi-deficiency type constipation were selected from December 2021 to July 2022 in the department of anus and intestines of Jiangxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.According to the method of random grouping, the patients were divided into two groups: the traditional Chinese medicine treatment group and the western medicine control group. The patients in the traditional Chinese medicine treatment group were treated with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction, and the patients in the western medicine control group were treated with oral lactulose. The treatment period of the two groups was 4 weeks.By comparing the total clinical efficacy, constipation symptom score, colon transit test, serum 5-HT content and recurrence rate, and other efficacy indicators, statistical analysis was carried out. Results A total of 60 patients were included in the study,including30 patients in the treatment group and 30 patients in the control group.Comparing the general data such as sex ratio, age distribution, and course of disease between the two groups, there was no statistical difference, indicating that the two groups of patients were comparable; The constipation symptom score and 5-HT level before treatment were compared between the two groups. The difference was not statistically significant, indicating that the two groups were comparable. After treatment, the efficacy observation indexes of the two groups are as follows:1 Comprehensive efficacyThe total effective rate of the Chinese medicine treatment group and the western medicine control group was 90.00% and 83.33% respectively, with statistically significant difference, indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).2 Score of colon transit testBoth the treatment group and the control group can improve the colonic transit function of patients(P<0.05),and the treatment group is significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).3 Constipation symptom scoreAfter treatment, the constipation symptom score of patients in the treatment group was significantly improved compared with that before treatment(P.However,by analyzing the constipation scores,it was found that the treatment group was superior to the control group in terms of stool characteristics, defecation frequency, defecation effort, defecation time, defecation rate score,etc.(P<0.05),while the control group was superior to the treatment group in improving the abdominal distension of patients(P<0.05).4 Serum 5-HT levelThe level of 5-HT in the two groups increased to different degrees compared with that before treatment(P<0.05);However,the content of 5-HT in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group.(P<0.05)The modified 1.Buzhong Yiqi Decoction can effectively treat constipation of qi deficiency type, improve the clinical symptoms of patients and improve the curative effect;2.In terms of improving the level of 5-HT in patients,it is suggested that the mechanism of modified Buzhong Yiqi Decoction in treating constipation patients may be related to the intestinal nerve pathway, and may achieve the therapeutic effect on chronic constipation by promoting the release of serum 5-HT.3.Compared with the western medicine lactulose oral liquid, the traditional Chinese medicine group can more effectively improve the constipation symptoms of patients, thus improving the quality of life of patients, without obvious side effects, and with high safety, which is worthy of clinical application.
