Objective:Heart Failure is the end stage of many cardiovascular diseases.Previous studies have found that Asprosin plays an important role in the risk factors of HF such as coro nary artery disease, but there is only one study on the relationship between Asprosin a nd HF,and the study was conducted in patients with HF due to dilated cardiomyopath y,which is a rare cause, and the results of this study cannot be directly applied to patie nts with HF of other causes. The results of this study cannot be directly applied to pati ents with HF of other etiologies. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate th e correlation between serum Asprosin levels and the common clinical causes of HF,an d to provide new ideas for the early diagnosis and treatment of HF.Methods:From August 2021 to August 2022,103 patients with HF who attended Qingdao Municipal Hospital and met the diagnostic criteria for HF were collected as the HF gr oup and 103 healthy checkups without HF during the same period as the non-HF grou p.Personal information, past medical history and past medication history were collect ed.Blood pressure, body mass index, heart rate, liver and kidney function, blood lipid s,glycosylated hemoglobin, fasting glucose and N-terminal B-amino-terminal natriure tic peptideogen were recorded.Echocardiographic parameters were collected and seru m Asprosin levels were measured in the HF and non-HF groups by enzyme-linked im munosorbent assay. The levels of Asprosin in patients with different types of heart fail ure were further evaluated by subgroup analysis. All data were analyzed using the stat istical software SPSS 26.0,and statistical results were statistically significant at P<0.05.Results:1.Serum Asprosin concentration was higher in the HF group than in the non-HF group.NT-Pro BNP,FBG,Hb A1C,creatinine and Aspartate aminotransferase were als o higher in the HF group than in the non-HF group, and the difference was statisticall y significant(P<0.05).2.Left ventricular posterior wall thickness, left ventricular end-diastolic internal diameter, septal thickness, left atrial internal diameter and E/e’ were all higher in the HF group than in the non-HF group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.A two-by-two comparison between the three groups according to serum Aspro sin levels revealed that Apo A1,creatinine,NT-Pro BNP,left ventricular end-diastolic i nternal diameter, left atrial internal diameter, prevalence of coronary artery disease,pr evalence of hypertension, and prevalence of heart failure also increased with increasin g serum Asprosin levels, while left ventricular ejection fraction decreased with increas ing Asprosin levels, and the difference The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Spearman correlation analysis was used to find that serum Asprosin levels wer e negatively correlated with LVEF(r_s=-0.621,P<0.05)and positively correlated with NT-Pro BNP(r_s=0.599,P<0.05).5.Dichotomous logistic regression analysis identified Asprosin(OR=1.010,95%CI(1.003-1.018))as an independent risk factor for HF,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).6.The area under the working curve for Asprosin subjects was 0.918,the specific ity was 89.3%,the sensitivity was 75.7%,the Jorden index was 0.65,and the optimal cut-off point was 734 ng/L.The ROC curve was plotted by combining Asprosin and N T-pro BNP,and the area under the working curve for subjects was 0.979(95%CI 0.962-0.997,P<0.05),with a sensitivity of 91.3%,specificity of 99%and Jorden index of0.903.Conclusion:This study confirmed that serum Asprosin levels were higher in patients with HF than in the non-HF population. As Asprosin levels increased, the prevalence of HF als o increased.Serum Asprosin levels were negatively correlated with LVEF and positiv ely correlated with NT-Pro BNP.Serum Asprosin level is one of the independent risk f actors for HF,and the combined testing of Asprosin and NT-pro BNP levels can impro ve the accuracy of HF diagnosis.
