Clinical Observation Of Yiqi Huayu Tongqiao Decoction In The Treatment Of Adenoid Hypertrophy In Children(Qi Deficiency And Stasis Type)

Objective:To investigate the safety and effectiveness of Yiqi Huayu Tongqiao Decoction in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy in children(qi deficiency and stasis type).Methods: A total of 72 children with adenoid hypertrophy who were admitted to the Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 1,2022 to January 1,2023 and met the relevant criteria of this study were selected as the corresponding observation subjects.According to the principle of clinical randomized controlled trial,72 cases were divided into two groups.36 cases in experimental group in actual observation and the other 36 cases were picked up in control group in actual observation.The experimental group was given oral treatment of Yiqi Huayu Tongqiao Decoction,and the control group was given Montelukast Sodium Tablets combined with Physiological Sea Water Nasal Soray.After 4weeks of treatment,the changes of symptoms(syndrome)scores in the two groups were observed,and the clinical efficacy was evaluated accordingly.Results: 1.There was no statistical significance in weight,height,gender,age,disease course,A/N value,OSA-18 quality of life score,primary and secondary symptoms before treatment between the two groups(P > 0.05),indicating comparability.2.The scores of primary Symptoms:rhinobyon,snore,mouth breathing,of both groups had good efficiency in the treatment of disease(P<0.05),with the efficiency of observation group in rhinobyon and snore better than the control group(P<0.05).3.The secondary symptoms(rhinorrhea,expectoration,Perspiration,nauseated and dyspepsia,gatigue,chest pain,dental and maxillofacial deformities)of the observation group decreased(P<0.05),the symptoms scores of rrhinorrhea,expectoration,Perspiration,nauseated and dyspepsia of control group dropped.(P<0.05),while the rest syndromes were no significant statistical difference(P>0.05).The symptoms scores of rrhinorrhea,expectoration,Perspiration,nauseated and dyspepsia of observation group were decreased more than the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in convective Obesity or progressive obesity between the two groups(P>0.05)4.The A/N value was compared in group before and after treatment,and the A/N value of observation group lower than it was before the treatment(P<0.05),while no distinct statistical difference in the control group(P>0.05).The observation group demonstrated better in lowering A/N value(P<0.05).5.OSA-18 Quality of life Scores of both groups were lower than they were before the treatment(P<0.05),with the observation group acted better than the control group(P<0.05).6.After treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group is 91.6%,while the control group is 88.9%(P<0.05),the observation group acted better.7.The recurrence rate of the observation group is 2%,while that of the control group is 11%,a variance that suggested statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Yiqi Huayu Tongqiao Decoction has significant clinical effect in treating adenoid hypertrophy in children(qi deficiency and stasis type).2.The therapeutic effect of Yiqi Huayu Tongqiao Decoction in children(qi deficiency and stasis type)is to release the rrhinorrhea,expectoration,Perspiration,nauseated and dyspepsia score,and shorten the frequency and time,rather than focusing on one aspect.3.Compared with the control group(Montelukast Sodium Tablets combined with Physiological Sea Water Nasal Soray),Yiqi Huayu Tongqiao Decoction has better clinical effect in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy(qi deficiency and stasis type)in the aspects of primary symptoms,secondary symptoms improvement.
