| Objective Through the clinical research data to scientifically evaluate the efficacy of Tongqiao prescription in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy in children,and to explore the guiding significance and application value of the theory of "long illness and blood stasis" in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy in children.Methods Children with adenoid hypertrophy who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into study group(n = 37)and control group(n = 37).The children in the control group were treated with routine pediatric drugs(momethasone furoate nasal spray combined with montelukast sodium chewing tablets)for 14 days.Two consecutive courses of treatment were observed.The efficacy evaluation scale was developed for homogenization evaluation.By comparing the scores of each scale before and after treatment between the two groups,the clinical efficacy of the two treatment schemes was objectively evaluated.At the same time,ELISA method was used to detect the content of serum interleukin-35(IL-35)before and after treatment.The children were followed up 8 weeks after treatment.The recurrence rate and operation rate were calculated and the results were statistically analyzed by SPSS26.0 software.Results A total of 74 children with adenoid hypertrophy were included in the study,of which 67 completed the whole study and 7 withdrew.1.General data: Through statistical analysis and comparison,there was no significant difference in sex,age and course of disease between the two groups before treatment(P >0.05),and the baseline data were comparable.2.Evaluation of curative effect:(1)Comparison of total efficacy: After treatment,the total effective rate of the study group was 91.18%,while that of the control group was 87.88%.There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P >0.05),indicating that the clinical effects of the two groups were generally the same.(2)Intra-group comparison: The TCM symptom score,disease severity score and quality of life evaluation score of the study group and the control group decreased after 2 weeks and 4weeks of treatment respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The adenoid volume scores of the study group and the control group decreased 4 weeks after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).(3)Comparison between groups: There was no significant difference in TCM symptom score and disease severity score between the study group and the control group at 2 weeks and 4 weeks after treatment(P >0.05).There was significant difference in the score of quality of life assessment(P < 0.05),and there was significant difference in adenoid volume score between the study group and the control group after 4 weeks treatment(P < 0.05).(4)The content of serum IL-35: The content of serum IL-35 in the study group before and after treatment was lower than that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant.3.Prognostic evaluation:(1)Recurrence rate: Eight weeks after treatment,the recurrence rate was 5.88% in the study group and 24.24% in the control group(P < 0.05).(2)Operation rate: Eight weeks after treatment,the operation rate was 2.94% in the study group and 18.18%in the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion 1.Tongqiao prescription is effective in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy in children,which is similar to that of western medicine(momethasone furoate nasal spray combined with montelukast sodium chewing tablets).2.Although the two treatment schemes have the same effect in improving the clinical symptoms and disease degree of children with adenoid hypertrophy,Tongqiao prescription is more effective in improving the quality of life,reducing the volume of adenoid,improving the prognosis and reducing the rate of operation,which is worthy of clinical application. |
