| Objective: Labor education is an important part of my country’s comprehensive development education system in the new era.It is of great significance to enhance the effectiveness of medical education,improve the social adaptability of medical talents,and promote the all-round development of medical students.At present,there is a lack of relevant research on the evaluation of labor education in medical colleges,and the evaluation index system of medical students’ labor competency is still in the exploratory stage.Based on labor competency,this study explores the characteristics of labor education in medical colleges,constructs an evaluation index system for medical students’ labor competency and conducts empirical research,investigates the current situation and influencing factors of medical students’ labor competency,analyzes the existing problems,and hopes to contribute to medical colleges and universities.Provide targeted reference opinions for the development of educational evaluation.Methods:Through the literature analysis,the research on the evaluation of labor competency at home and abroad is summarized,the connotation and characteristics of medical students’ labor competency are clarified,and the index system of medical students’ labor competency is initially constructed.The Delphi method was used to conduct questionnaire consultation with experts to determine the evaluation index system of medical students’ labor competency.Using AHP to calculate the weight of labor quality indicators of medical students.Empirical research was carried out through questionnaire survey,and factor analysis,independent sample t test,one-way analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis,and multiple linear regression statistical analysis were carried out on the survey data by using software such as SPSS and Amos.Results:(1)The study determined the labor quality index system of medical students,which consists of 3 first-level indicators,12 second-level indicators and 31 third-level indicators.The results of factor analysis show that its reliability and validity are good,and three of them Level indicators and their weights are labor values(0.448),labor knowledge(0.249),and labor skills(0.303).(2)There are differences in the labor competency of medical students in demographic variables.The overall score of medical students’ labor competency is 4.207,and the scores of labor values,labor knowledge and labor skills are 4.502,4.014,and 4.026.There are differences in the overall level of labor competency in the place of origin,whether they are only children,whether they have participated in labor education in the past,and the highest educational level of their parents;The level,labor knowledge and labor skills are higher than those of non-only children;the scores of all dimensions of labor competency of students who have participated in labor education in the past are higher than those of students who have not participated in labor education;the level of labor competency of students There are differences in labor knowledge and labor skills.(3)The labor competency of medical students is related to the level of labor education environment.The overall average score of medical students’ labor education environment is 4.15,and the average scores of family labor education environment,school labor education environment,social and medical labor education environment are 4.26,4.07 and 4.13.The correlation coefficient between labor competency and family,school,society and medical labor education environment was0.567-0.602(P<0.001).(4)There are differences in the demographic variables in the labor education environment of medical students.The labor education environment scores of the lower grades are higher than those of the senior grades;there are differences in the labor education environment levels of different majors;the labor education environment scores of students from urban areas are higher than those of rural students;The scores of labor education environment for students who have participated in labor education are higher than those for students who have not participated in labor education.(5)Demographic characteristics and labor education environment jointly affect the labor quality of medical students.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the school education environment,family education environment,social and medical labor education environment,monthly living expenses,and those who did not participate in labor education courses in the past is an important factor affecting the labor competency of medical students(P<0.05).Medical students with higher labor education environment scores,higher monthly living expenses,and previous labor education experience have higher labor competency levels.Conclusions:(1)The evaluation index system of medical students’ labor competency established in this study has good reliability and validity,which can provide a reference for evaluating medical students’ labor competency.(2)The overall level of labor competency of medical students is relatively high,but the internal development is uneven.Labor values are out of touch with labor knowledge and labor skills.Previous labor education experience and monthly living expenses are the influencing factors of medical students’ labor competency.The reason may be related to family labor.The degree of emphasis on education is related to the cumulative differentiation effect.(3)Improving the labor competency of medical students requires improving the labor education environment,and the level of family,school,and social labor education environments is positively correlated with the labor competency of medical students.Medical students have good labor motivation,but heavy academic burden,lack of labor practice opportunities and resource support affect medical students’ labor practice. |
