Objective:Research on the influence of edaravone dexcamphenol on serum hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),neutrophil lymphocyte ratio(NLR),red blood cell distribution width(RDW)and on neurological function in elderly patients with acute ischaemic stroke. Methods:The diagnostic criteria for Acute Ischaemic Stroke(AIS)as stated in the Guideline for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke in China 2018,160 elderly patients with AIS who were hospitalized in the Department of Neurology and the Department of Geriatrics of Handan Central Hospital from January 2021 to September 2022 were collected and divided into the experimental group of edaravone dexcamphenol(n=80)and conventional treatment comparison group(n=80).All patients in the group were monitored for changes in serum hs-CRP,NLR with RDW prior to and following therapy, with the National Institutes of Health stroke scale(NIHSS),Activity of Daily Living Score(ADL),with the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)as well as the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)were administered to all patients. The neurological changes prior to and after the therapy were evaluated using the National Institute of Health stroke scale(NIHSS score)and the Activity of Daily Living Score(ADL score),and the outcome function was evaluated using the Modified Rankin Scale(m RS score)on the 90 th day after discharge.Results:1.Serum hs-CRP,NLR as well as RDW declined in both experimental and traditional groups after treatment(P<0.01),and the variance was highly statistically meaningful(P<0.05);the reduced values of serum hs-CRP,NLR and RDW were more significant among the participants in the experimental group, and the variations were statistically meaningful(P<0.05).2.The NIHSS marks of both the experimental and traditional groups decreased after treatment(P<0.05),and the NIHSS marks of the experimental group decreased considerably compared with traditional group, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).3,Evaluation of clinical efficacy: Experimental efficiency was 97.5%and contrast group efficiency was 88.75%,Ridit analysis mentioned that the efficiency of experimental group was higher than those of the contrast group, and the difference was statistical significance(P<0.05).4,The ADL marks of both the experimental as well as the comparison group were higher post-treatment compared with pre-treatment(P < 0.05),with a more apparent increase in ADL marks in the experimental group than in the comparison group, with a more significant difference statistically(P < 0.05).5,The number is significantly outperformed by the number of good outcomes(0-2)of experimental group than traditional group in the m RS score on 90 th day after discharge, with statistical meaningful difference(P< 0.01).Conclusions:1,Edaravone dextromethorphan enables to diminish serum hs-CRP,NLR and RDW and inhibit inflammatory reactions after AIS.2,Edaravone dextromethorphan therapy decreased NIHSS score and enhanced ADL score, increased treatment efficiency, modified neurological deficits and elevated outcome function in elderly AIS patients, and empowered autonomic activity.3,Edaravone dextromethorphan may have beneficial curative effects on suppressing inflammatory response after stroke, improving neurological performance and enhancing prognostic ending in elderly AIS patients.
