| Writing has always been an important content in the field of second language acquisition,and it is also an important part of reflecting students’ comprehensive language ability.Analysis of the composition of Chinese students abroad shows that high-level learners still have the problem of low quality in second-language Chinese writing.In order to solve this problem,some scholars have begun to try to discuss from the perspective of language distinguishing characteristics,in order to examine the relationship between language distinguishing characteristics and composition quality.However,there are not many studies in this area,mainly focusing on the study of English as a second language writing,and most of the existing studies compare the composition of foreign students with the composition of the same topic by native speakers,and rarely pay attention to the high and low scores of learners of the same level.Differences in composition performance.For Chinese learners,especially highlevel learners,how to use the acquired knowledge accurately and flexibly,improve the quality of composition writing,and match the writing level with the language level is the difficulty and focus of writing learning.In order to solve the above problems,this paper starts from the analysis of "linguistic distinguishing features",selects 14 measurement indicators in 4 dimensions including vocabulary,syntax,text,and Chinese characters in distinguishing features,and uses the statistical method of factor analysis to explore the same Under the language level(high level),the performance and differences of the language characteristics of high-level and low-level composition of foreign students,and then observe the relationship between the distinguishing characteristics of the language of foreign students’ Chinese writing and the quality of the composition,and propose to improve the quality of Chinese writing for high-level learners suggest.The study found that the linguistic features of 120 composition corpora in the high and low segments were analyzed by factor analysis.The language features of Chinese writing by low-segment foreign students were aggregated into 4 fixed factors,indicating that the accuracy,vocabulary diversity,topic chain,and article length are Noteworthy language features presented in low-segment essays are manifested in language accuracy that needs to be improved;the use of topic chains is poor;vocabulary diversity needs to be improved;length is longer but the content quality is not high;highsegment foreign students Chinese The linguistic features of writing are aggregated into six fixed factors,which indicate that vocabulary diversity,topic and Chinese characters,cohesion,accuracy,language characteristics and syntactic complexity are the linguistic features that are worthy of attention in high-segment essays.It is manifested as an increase in vocabulary diversity;improvement in the use of topic chains;an increase in syntactic complexity;an improvement in sentence cohesion;a reduction in vocabulary misuse caused by semantic confusion;and more concise,compact sentences.Moreover,high-segment essays also have some defects and shortcomings,such as lower accuracy of Chinese characters,more vocabulary errors and grammatical errors,and poor use of special sentence patterns.A comparative analysis of the language characteristics of high-and low-segment foreign students’ compositions found that there are differences in the linguistic characteristics of high-and low-segment international students’ compositions,which is reflected in the overall upward trend in the quality of high-segment composition compared with low-segment,that is,language accuracy,The continuous development of vocabulary diversity and topic chains,as well as the changes of individual language characteristic indicators,are asynchronous,namely "pronoun count","zero formation score","word type number","T unit length" and " "Conjunction count" belongs to different factors in the high and low segments,so it shows different linguistic characteristics in the high and low segments,indicating that the changes in composition quality also have the characteristics of non-linearity and variability.In addition,the study found that language features such as semantic error,vocabulary density,lexical diversity,topic chain length,topic chain clauses,zero formation score,T unit length,and pronoun count perform poorly in the low segment,while the high segment performs poorly.Better,it is an important factor that affects the composition quality of high-level learners.At the same time,the lower accuracy of Chinese character writing,more vocabulary errors and grammatical errors are common features of Chinese writing by high-level learners,which deserve further attention.Through research,it can be determined that the distinguishing characteristics of language are closely related to the quality of composition,and the analysis of language characteristics can determine the linguistic characteristics of high-quality composition.While further deepening the understanding of composition quality,it will also be used for foreign Chinese composition.The development and improvement of teaching provide strength.This article has seven parts.The first is the introduction,which introduces the reason and value of the distinguishing characteristics of language and composition quality as the research object,and summarizes previous studies on the quality of second language writing.The first chapter explains the research design,including the source and selection method of composition corpus,the selection and calculation method of language features,as well as the corpus processing procedures and statistical methods.Chapters 3 and 4 start from the factor analysis of the linguistic features of high-and low-segment essays,explain the linguistic features of high-and low-segment essays that are worthy of attention,and lay the foundation for the next step of research.Chapter5 analyzes the differences in the composition language characteristics of high-and lowsegment students and the relationship between the distinguishing characteristics of the language and the quality of the composition,to clarify the gaps between the high-and low-segment compositions and the language characteristics that
