As a foreign student from Russia,I have developed a strong interest in Chinese clutch words during my six years of learning Chinese.Clutch words themselves are complex,and there are almost no clutch words in Russian.Therefore,clutch words have become a difficult point for Russian students to learn.Even at the intermediate and advanced stages,Russian students still make errors in the use of clutch words,However,there are few studies on the acquisition of clutch words by Russian middle and advanced Chinese learners,so it is of great significance for us to conduct research on them.In order to study the issue of errors in the acquisition of clutch words,we conducted a survey of 130 Russian middle and advanced Chinese learners from different universities and conducted a questionnaire analysis.We found that there are many types of errors in the acquisition of clutch words by Russian middle and advanced Chinese learners,mainly including four types of errors: the deviation of clutch words with objects,the insertion component error,the overlap error of clutch words,and the pre morpheme error.The main reasons for the errors are the factors of the separable words themselves,students’ factors,and teaching factors.From the perspective of its own factors,separable words have their own complexity,including insertion of intermediate classes,morpheme overlap classes,and post morpheme preposition classes;From the perspective of student factors,there are mainly problems such as negative transfer of mother tongue,generalization of target language knowledge,and poor learning strategies;From the perspective of teaching factors,there are mainly problems such as teachers’ insufficient understanding of the grammatical differences between Chinese clutch words and Russian corresponding content,insufficient awareness of contrast in teaching,lack of targeted exercises,relatively simple teaching methods,and insufficient relevant content and exercises in textbooks.In response to the above issues,we propose suggestions: students should optimize learning strategies for clutch words,improve learning efficiency in class,and reduce negative transfer of mother tongue and generalization of target language knowledge;Expand extracurricular learning channels for clutch words,increase input and output;Establishing interest connections in separable words and strengthening learning motivation;Teachers should attach importance to the teaching of knowledge points related to clutch words and enhance the comparative study of Chinese and Russian related content;Strengthen the awareness of errors in clutch words and make teaching targeted;Implement the student centered principle,improve and enrich teaching methods;Clearly mark the clutch words in the textbook;Enrich the practice methods of clutch words after class;Improve the repetition rate of clutch words,etc.We hope that our investigation,analysis,and relevant suggestions can provide assistance to Russian middle and advanced Chinese learners in acquiring clutch words,reduce the frequency of errors,improve learning efficiency,further improve learning strategies and teachers’ teaching standards,and promote the development of the Russian Chinese language education industry.
