A Study On The Place Names And Their Changes In Tumote Area During The Ming And Qing Dynasties

Tumet region is located in the west of the central part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,with a continental climate.It is also a farming and animal husbandry region.There are many ethnic groups active here,such as meaty porridge,ghost recipe,ghost recipe,Rong,Xianbei,Rouran,Turk,Khitan,Jurchen,Mongolian,Han and Manchu.Through long-term exchanges and exchanges,various ethnic groups have formed a unique regional culture in Tumet.Affected by this,Tumet region has produced and preserved place names in various languages.These place names have left the cultural imprints of all ethnic groups in the long river of history,showing the long history and culture of Tumote.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,with the exchange and exchange of various ethnic groups in Tumet region and the transformation of economic mode,Tumet region had new development in the original naming characteristics of place names,and the original meaning and pronunciation of place names also changed.The change of place names also reflects the unique characteristics and laws of place names in the region of Mote.This paper takes the naming and change of place names in Tumet region as the main line,discusses the naming and change of place names in Tumet region,and analyzes the social changes in Tumet region reflected by the change of place names.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the place names in Tumet area can be generally divided into human factors and natural entities.It can be seen from the investigation of the cultural and historical environment that the Tumet region in the Ming and Qing dynasties was an important period for the exchange and exchange of various ethnic groups and the transition of the economic mode from nomadism to farming.According to preliminary statistics,there were many names named by nomadic culture,official titles,Bansheng,etc.in the Tumet region in the Ming Dynasty due to human factors.In the Qing Dynasty,with the diversified development of Tumet’s economy and the entry of immigrants,the original place names in Tumet changed and many new places were added.For example,place names named by surnames,agricultural tools,and occupations.Therefore,the naming methods of place names in Tumet area are also various and rich.In terms of natural geographical environment,Tumet region is dominated by plains,rivers and mountains,which are also farming and grazing due to the crisscross of farming and grazing.Many of the place names here are named after the natural entities in the region.During the Ming Dynasty,the natural entity names in Tumet area were mostly named after "Tara","Shile",etc.Later,with the immigration into Tumet area and the development of agricultural economy,a lot of names with agricultural color were added.The change of place names is not only the change of the meaning of the names,but also reflects the local culture,folk beliefs and other matters of a region.The change of place names in Tumet reflects the cultural exchanges and exchanges of various ethnic groups during the Ming and Qing dynasties,promoting the diversified development of the economy.
