To improve bilingual ability and achieve the translator’s advantage of“translation + professionalism”,the translator translated the English book Under the Influence: Putting Peer Pressure to Work. After finishing all the courses, the translator reflected on and revised the translation. This report describes the problems during the translation practice, the causes, and the solutions for solving them.It records the translator’s gains and reflections after the practice. It summarizes the problems in the translation practice based on Li Changshuan’s“Comprehension,Expression,Adaptation” framework and analyzes the causes and solutions of the issues using examples. In terms of comprehension, the main problems of the translator are lacking professional knowledge, understanding of language details, and context consciousness;in terms of expression, the main problems are overusing Euro-Chinese expression, improper sentence structure, and logical coherence;in terms of adaptation, the main problems are excessive reduction of the form of the source text while ignoring the characteristics of the Chinese text. The report is divided into four sections: Chapter 1 is an introduction part;Chapter 2 introduces the “Comprehension,Expression and Adaptation” framework;Chapter 3 is the case analysis, reviewing the difficulties encountered in the translation process and explaining the solutions;Chapter 4 is the conclusion, which describes the limitation and gains of the translator in translation practice.
