| With the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War,the Chinese Communist Party led the Eighth Route Army,the armed forces and the masses of the people in a fierce struggle in the Jinsui Revolutionary Base Area.The Chinese Communist Party established the anti-Japanese base area in Jinsui,which was one of the nineteen most important base areas created in the country and an important armed force in the fight against the Japanese invasion.During the long years of the Anti-Japanese War,the local inhabitants bravely devoted themselves to guerrilla struggle,constantly resisting the aggression of foreign enemies and making great sacrifices to achieve the anti-invasion struggle in China and worldwide.The terrain in the Jinsui region is complex and it is extremely important as a staging post for the base areas of Yan’an,Jinchaji and Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu.After the people’s army led by He Long established a revolutionary base in Jinsui,it used the infectious and rich nature of musical artworks to spread revolutionary ideas widely in order to maximise the social mobilisation role of music.Under the strong leadership of the Party,literary artists bravely combined the spirit of the anti-Japanese war with the essence of art,focusing their musical works under the great banner of China’s national liberation war.The passion for the creation of musical works and the anti-war movement was even more enthusiastic and high,and the sound of salvation resounded in every corner of the Jinsui revolutionary base.With the development of the times,traditional music such as Hequ Shanqu,Xinxian Xiaoxiao and the embroidered lotus bag tunes of northern Jinsui were also discovered.Together with tunes coming from abroad or created by musicians,they conveyed the political philosophy of our Party and reflected the ideological aspirations of the people,forming a close interaction between the military and the people.The musical works of the anti-Japanese period reflect the historical landscape of their time and place,and the creation,adaptation and dissemination of the works evoke the patriotic feelings of the people.The study of revolutionary literature and art from this period of anti-Japanese history is of great contemporary relevance.Based on musical works from the anti-Japanese war,this article takes anti-Japanese war musical works and Chinese social mobilisation as its core content,and delves into the historical background,mobilising connotations,propaganda avenues and impact on later generations of musical works in the Jinsui Revolutionary Base Area in conjunction with the anti-Japanese war,thus revealing the uniqueness of anti-Japanese war musical works.The creation of musical works on anti-Japanese war themes is influenced by a variety of factors,such as geographical conditions,audience groups and the context of the times.These factors determine the ideological content and main theme of musical works.For example,the literary policies of the leaders and the writing philosophy of the creators of the works can have a significant impact on the style of the music.The aim of this article is to explore the context in which music and art works were created during the War of Resistance from a number of perspectives,including the establishment of base areas,the living conditions of local people and the general environment of the revolutionary period.Through the study of anti-Japanese music and social mobilisation,we are able to clearly understand the extent to which musical works could reflect important elements of political thought,national economy and social culture and education,which were powerful counter-attacks to the penetration of Japanese aggressive ideology,military sweeps,the closure of the national economy and its social and cultural corruption.The widespread dissemination of musical and artistic works in the Jinsui region during the Anti-Japanese War was linked to the strong local festival atmosphere.In order to disseminate these musical works,localities took the initiative to incorporate them when organising temple fairs and gatherings.Under the leadership of the local government,anti-Japanese organisations,literary and artistic groups and even primary and secondary schools and publishing houses around the region became important channels for the dissemination of anti-Japanese musical works.The effective dissemination of anti-Japanese music works was inextricably linked to their unique characteristics,such as being politically oriented and easily understood,which were always present in the works.This paper summarises the characteristics of anti-Japanese music works in the Jinsui Revolutionary Base Area through literature,namely political and artistic,popular and popular,diverse and rich.Finally,through the opportunity of exploring anti-Japanese musical works in contemporary society,the paper delves into the role of musical works in contemporary Chinese social movements and helps to further disseminate the artistic resources of the Jinsui Revolutionary Base Areas. |
