| This is a report on the practice of E-C translation guided by Skopos Theory.The translator selected the translation material from the fourth chapter of the book Education Technology Policies in the Middle East.The translated material mainly describes the challenges faced by the education reform in the Middle East,the problems in the reform and the education development directions.Under the background of globalization and informatization,it has gradually become the strategic consensus of global national development to drive educational modernization with educational informatization,and mobilize national development modernization with educational modernization.Education technology policy can reflect the focus of education development and guide the future development direction all over the world.The practice report selects the Middle East as the research object,with a view to strengthening Chinese understanding of education technology policies and the overall situation in the field of education in the Middle East,so as to provide new thinking for China to formulate plans for educational technology cooperation with the Middle East.The translation material is an informative text,which includes politics,economy,education,religion and other related aspects.The translation practice report focuses on the analysis of the language characteristics of the original text,discussing the cultural connotation and the application of translation principles and strategy with examples under the guidance of Skopos theory.At the lexical level,it mainly explores the translation of proper nouns and abbreviations;At the syntactic level,it mainly discusses the translation of long and difficult English sentences;At the textual level,it mainly studies coherence.Guided by Skopos theory,the translation of social science informative text has been improved.Through careful exploration,the report author hopes to provide useful reference for the Chinese translation of similar works. |
