| The upgrade of media technology has given rise to streaming media platform,and the epidemic of the COVID-19 has accelerated the possibility of streaming media platform as cinema.From production consumption to personal consumption,the streaming media platform is shaping new environment of film consumption.From the perspective of space change,through case analysis,data comparative analysis and other research methods,this study mainly investigates the spatial change of the current film consumption environment,in order to gain an insight into the impact of streaming media platform on film production and personal consumption,so as to grasp the new characteristics and trends of film consumption.Promoting the economic and social benefits of streaming media platforms while helping the film industry to clarify the development direction.The research finds that the spatial form of cinema is closely related to the development of film.From the physical space to the digital space,the technical characteristics permeate the whole industrial chain of film production practice,which leads to new characteristics of film consumption.First of all,at the level of production and consumption of films,with the help of the long tail effect of cyberspace and the mission of "user experience",streaming media platforms against the commercial shading and profit-seeking mentality of traditional cinemas,and then stimulate the diversification of content types and aesthetic quality.Moreover,in terms of personal consumption of film,through the technological upgrading of digital space and the multi-platform cooperation mode,streaming media platforms have impacted the fixed consumption concept of time and space of traditional cinemas,and then explored the interactive characteristics and fragmented attributes of watching films.Based on the above analysis,the streaming media platform has shaped personalized,digital,virtual and mobile cinema,thus shaping the film consumption culture different from the traditional cinema.Streaming media technology is satisfying the audience’s instantaneous sense and diversified needs,while the film consumption is facing some crises caused by dematerialization and digitization.This study believes that the relationship between traditional cinemas and streaming media platforms is not one of trade-off,.Under the influence of the COVID-19,the consumption habits cultivated by the latter are still impacting the former.TO continuously accommodate the social productive forces and stimulate the vitality of consumption,it is crucial for film industry to grasp the characteristics of consumption environment brought by the spatial change. |
