The rapid development of Internet education technology has accelerated the development and popularity of online Chinese language teaching,and this breakthrough in time and space has gradually become an important teaching mode for international Chinese language education.With the change of teaching methods,some problems arouse in online teaching such as insufficient teacherstudent interaction and poor learning effect.How to maximize the online interaction between teachers and students and improve students’ online learning effect is a question that every online Chinese language teacher needs to think about constantly in their teaching practice.At the same time,the author has found that the game teaching method can enhance the fun of online Chinese classes and solve the problem of insufficient interaction in online classes and students’ low motivation to learn Chinese online.Therefore,based on the previous research,the author combines more than one year of online teaching practice with Cambodian students as the teaching target and the results of the teacher-student questionnaire to investigate the problems in the application of the game teaching method in online integrated Chinese classes for beginners,and then proposes targeted countermeasures,hoping to provide research ideas for the application of the game teaching method in online Chinese classes.Based on the emotional filtering hypothesis,constructive theory and immersion theory,this paper firstly analyses the necessity of the game teaching method in online elementary Chinese comprehensive course,taking into account the online Chinese teaching practice and students’ online class performance.Secondly,a questionnaire is distributed to teachers and students of Cambodian Dandelion Chinese Education Online to find out students’ attitudes towards the use of games in online elementary Chinese comprehensive course,their needs for game settings and feedback on the effectiveness of game teaching;and to gain the outcome of application,teaching effectiveness and evaluation of the game teaching method in online elementary Chinese comprehensive course.Thirdly,the online game teaching cases for Cambodian students are presented and analyzed.At the same time,the online unit performance test of Cambodian students before and after the game teaching is conducted and analyzed from three perspectives: mean score,standard deviation and score band,to conclude that the game teaching method is helpful for learning Chinese online.Finally,based on the above research and teaching practice,the problems of game teaching in the online elementary Chinese comprehensive class were summarized as follows: Firstly,there are problems with the design of online games,such as the selection of online games,the design of difficulty and the balance between the purpose and fun of online games;secondly,there are problems with the use of games for teaching in the online class,which are mainly manifested in the problems of order in the online class,the low motivation of some students to participate in online games,the allocation of game groups and the frequency of online games.To address these problems,the following countermeasures are proposed: Firstly,to design the games in the online elementary Chinese comprehensive course;Secondly,to strengthen the class order management in the online elementary Chinese comprehensive course;thirdly,to pay attention to the evaluation and feedback of the online games;fourthly,to pay attention to the reflection and innovation of the online class games;Finally,to pay attention to the emotional communication between teachers and students in the online games teaching.This thesis expects to provide valuable references for online Chinese language teaching through the study of the application of game teaching method in online elementary Chinese comprehensive course.
