| Objective:In this study,we observed the clinical efficacy of external treatment of the six meridians combined with plum blossom acupuncture in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia with liver and gallbladder stasis, and provided ideas and methods for the clinical treatment of androgenetic alopecia. Methods:The study cases were obtained from patients with androgenetic alopecia treated in the outpatient clinic of the Department of Dermatology of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.72 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a test group and a control group,36 patients in each group. The treatment was carried out for 12 weeks and one course of treatment was given. The itchiness, greasiness, scaling, number of hair loss and new hair growth of the patients were scored before and after treatment to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the external treatment of androgenetic alopecia with external treatment of the six meridians combined with plum blossom acupuncture, and to observe the adverse effects of both groups.Result:Before treatment, the basic data such as gender, age, itchiness, greasiness, scaling, hair loss, new hair growth, total symptom score,Chinese medicine symptom score, dermatological quality of life scale score and anxiety self-assessment scale score of the two groups were statistically tested, and the differences between the two groups were not statistically significant and were comparable. After 12 weeks of treatment, the total number of effective cases in the experimental group was 23,10 invalid cases, and the effective rate was 69.70%;the total number of effective cases in the control group was 15,19 invalid cases, and the effective rate was 44.12%,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant at P<0.05.After 12 weeks of treatment, the patients’ hair itchiness, greasiness, degree of scaling, number of hair loss and new hair growth were compared between the two groups, and the difference was P>0.05,which was not statistically significant;the difference was P<0.01,which was significant before and after treatment. The total symptom scores of patients in both groups after treatment were compared between groups,P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant;compared within groups of patients in both groups after treatment and before treatment,P<0.01,and there was a significant difference before and after treatment. The comparison between groups of TCM symptom score and anxiety self-assessment scale score of patients in both groups after treatment was P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant;the comparison within groups of TCM symptom score and anxiety self-assessment product scale of patients in both groups was P<0.01,and the difference was significant. The difference was not statistically significant when comparing the dermatological quality of life scale scores between the two groups of patients after treatment,P>0.05;the difference was significant when comparing within the group before and after treatment in the test group,P<0.01;the difference was not statistically significant when comparing within the group before and after treatment in the control group,P>0.05.Conclusion:The combination of external treatment of the six meridians and plum blossom needle acupuncture treatment and simple plum blossom needle acupuncture treatment had certain therapeutic effects on patients with androgenetic alopecia due to liver and gallbladder stasis, and was effective in reducing itchiness, greasiness, scaling, number of hair loss, new hair growth,TCM symptoms, and anxiety status. In terms of improving the total number of symptoms,TCM symptoms, and anxiety state, the effect of "external treatment of the six meridians" combined with plum blossom needle acupuncture was better than that of plum blossom needle acupuncture alone;in terms of clinical efficacy, external treatment of the six meridians combined with plum blossom needle acupuncture was significantly better than that of plum blossom needle acupuncture alone. In terms of clinical efficacy, external treatment of the six meridians combined with plum blossom acupuncture was significantly better than plum blossom acupuncture alone. In addition, the combination of external treatment of the six meridians acupressure points and plum blossom needle acupuncture treatment could improve the quality of life of patients with androgenetic alopecia with liver-biliary stasis to a certain extent. |
