| Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the treatment of acute-type peripheral facial paralysis with Juci. Methods: Sixty patients with acute peripheral facial paralysis were divided into an observation group and a control group according to a random number tab le,with 30 cases in each group. The two groups were treated with basic drugs(Prednisone acetate tablet, acyclovir tablet,et,and mecobalamin tablet). The observation group received acupuncture on the healthy side and the affected side, while the control group received acupuncture on the affected side, once a day for a total of 20 times. The total score of facial nerve function, dynamic and static,as well as House-Brackmann(H-B)facial nerve function grade, were observed before and after treatment in the two groups to evaluate the clinical efficacy of treatment. Results: 1.Baseline comparison: There were no statistically significant differences in gender, age, course of the disease, and site of onset between the two groups of patients with acute phase peripheral facial paralysis(P>0.05),indicating comparability.2.Intra-group comparison: a.Compared before and after treatment, the static score of the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);b.Before and after treatment, the dynamic scores of the facial nerve were statistically signific ant(P<0.05);c.There was statistical significance in H-B facial nerve function classification between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05).3.Comparison between groups: a.After treatment, the static score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05);b.The dynamic score of the observation group after treatment was significantly higher than that the of control group(P<0.05);c.The observation group’s H-B facial nerve function grade was significantly better than that of the control group after treatment(P<0.05).4.Comparison of clinical efficacy: a.The apparent rate of the observation group was83.3%,and that of the control group was 66.7%.The apparent rate the of two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).b.The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.7%,and that of the control group was 91.7%.The total effective rate of the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05),indicating that the efficacy of the two groups was comparable. Conclusion: 1.Both giant acupuncture and ordinary acupuncture are beneficial to the recovery of acute type peripheral facial paralysis, and can improve the symptoms of facial mouth and eye skew, but the combination of giant acupuncture and ordinary acupuncture is more advantageous.2.The cure rate and recovery rate of acute type peripheral facial paralysis treated by giant acupuncture combined with ordinary acupuncture are higher, highlighting the advantages of acupuncture treatment and providing a scheme worth promotion and in-depth study for clinical treatment of acute wind-cold type peripheral facial paralysis. |
