Clinical Observation On The Efficacy Of Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction Combined With Heparin In Preventing Lower Limb DVT After TH

Purposes:The clinical efficacy of Jiawei Taohongsiwutang combined with heparin on DVT in lower extremities after THA surgery was investigated by randomized control method.Material and methods:A total of 62 patients who underwent THA were admitted to the Department of Orthopedics of the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Chinese Medicine from March 2021 to December 2022(which met the ethical standards and was approved by the hospital’s ethics committee).Using the random number table method,patients were divided into control and treatment groups.There were no significant differences in the general data of the two groups,including age,sex,general health,surgical site,and operation time.The two groups of study indexes,including coagulation function,swelling degree,VAS score,wound drainage 36 hours after surgery,and the occurrence of DVT in the lower extremities after surgery were compared between the two groups,and the results were statistically analyzed.On the first,the coagulation function,swelling degree,VAS score,wound drainage,and DVT incidence in the lower limbs of the two groups were all documented.5th and 11 th day after operation.(in accordance with ethical standards and approved by the hospital ethics committee)and give a conclusion on the statistical analysis of the results.Results:1.Coagulation function The comparison between the two groups of patients on the first postoperative day D-dimer(D-D)and activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT)was not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant compared with the postoperative day 11 and postoperative days 1 and 5(P<0.05).2.Swelling degree After the evaluation on the first day after surgery,there was no significant difference in the swelling degree score of the two groups(P>0.05);however,the intra-group comparison: the swelling degree score of the two groups on the 5th and 11 th days after treatment was improved,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison between groups: On days 5 and 11 after treatment,the swelling degree score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.VAS score There was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups on the first postoperative day(P>0.05);intra-group comparison: VAS score improved on the 5th and 11 th days after treatment in the two groups,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Between-group comparison: On days 5 and 11 after treatment,the VAS score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.36-hour postoperative wound drainage The total drainage at 36 hours after surgery was recorded between the two groups,and there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).It shows that it will not add flavored roséfour-object soup to increase the risk after surgery.5.The occurrence of DVT after lower extremity surgery There was no significant difference in adverse events between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.For total hip arthroplasty,Jiawei Taohongsiwutang combined with heparin can reduce the early postoperative pain,relieve postoperative swelling and improve VAS score,which is of great benefit to the rapid recovery of patients after operation.2.Jiawei Taohongsiwutang combined with heparin does not increase the risk of postoperative wound bleeding,so it is a safe and effective treatment.
