Choral adaptation is one of the important channels for the creation of choral works,and choral works adapted from Chinese popular songs are one of the forms of choral adaptations.The study of the structure of modular composition techniques of choral works adapted from Chinese pop songs can promote the development of choral art.This paper will study the following aspects: Chapter 1 will mainly analyze the overview of choral adaptations of popular songs at home and abroad,and elaborate on the current situation of choral as well as choral adaptations of popular songs from domestic and foreign countries respectively.The second chapter firstly analyzes the development status of choral adaptations of Chinese pop songs,and then analyzes four structural modular adaptations through the choral works adapted by Prof.Chen Guoquan from Chinese pop songs-(1)the embodiment of structural modularity of the original song structure expansion;(2)the embodiment of structural modularity of imitation polyphony;(3)the embodiment of structural modularity of weaving and harmony;(4)the embodiment of structural modularity of tonal and metrical conversion.The third chapter takes the choral work "The Story of the the Red-Crowned Crane" as an example,firstly explains the background of the composition of the song "The Story of the Red-Crowned Crane" and the analysis of the song form,and then analyzes the main modular techniques used in this choral work.Chapter 4 summarizes the significance of choral adaptations of Chinese pop songs in enriching choral music works,satisfying the aesthetic needs of the public,expanding the value of pop songs,innovating choral adaptations,and the trend of diversifying adaptations,improving the aesthetics of the public,novelty in conveying emotions,and flexibility in choral performance,and concludes with the author’s views on the problems that need to be solved in the development process.In the end,the author proposes the problems that need to be solved in the process of development.
