The annual Design Exhibition is a platform for the public to understand design works,design values and design trends,as well as a concentrated embodiment of social culture,political and economic development.The visual identity of the annual Design Exhibition is a visual medium that reflects the curatorial concept,exhibition content and brand style.This paper focuses on the visual identity of the design Annual,and researches on the rise and development of the design annual,the development and composition of the visual identity,and the visual identity characteristics and development trend of the international Design Annual.In this paper,through the system of collecting and organizing the domestic and foreign wellknown design exhibition(visual identity design case,combined with its corresponding material culture and spiritual culture environment,by curator idea and artistic ideological trend as the breakthrough point,from the analysis of the interdisciplinary perspective of visual identity,semantics and the motivations behind the creation technique,combined with professional context at the same time,around the project practice,This paper summarizes the visual rules and design techniques of the design of the annual exhibition identity and discusses the creative path and trend of the design of the annual exhibition visual identity.The introduction part of the paper discusses the research background,research significance,research status and research methods,and expounds the research value of the visual identity design of the design annual exhibition from multiple perspectives.The first chapter explains the concepts proposed in this paper,and from the historical background,reveals the historical inevitability of the emergence of the design annual exhibition,and then combs and introduces the contemporary domestic and foreign well-known design annual exhibition.The second chapter discusses the development from visual phenomenon to visual culture on the framework of visual identity design principle,analyzes the elements and composition of visual identity,and compares the visual identity of non-design exhibitions.The third chapter focuses on the analysis of the visual identity design of the international Design Year in recent years,summarizes the three factors that affect the development of visual identity,namely artistic trend of thought,regional culture and technology of The Times,and enumerates design cases for specific discussion and interpretation.The fourth chapter,as the continuation of the third chapter,discusses and analyzes the innovation and thinking in the development of the visual identity of the Design Annual,abstracts the three viewpoints of style shaping of The Times,change of media and renewal of social issues,and discusses the relationship between design and social responsibility in the post-epidemic era.The fifth chapter is based on the above research,taking Nanjing Creative Design Week as an example for design practice.The conclusion part summarizes the research results,viewpoints and practical significance of this paper,and prospects the development of design.
