A Study Of The Artistic Conception Of Zhang Yimou’s Films

Based on the theory of artistic conception of Chinese classical aesthetics,this paper studies the works of Zhang Yimou’s films,explores the pattern and construction of artistic conception of them,analyzes its aesthetic experience and explains the aesthetic value of artistic conception.Firstly,the paper studies the theoretical basis of Zhang Yimou’s film artistic conception,which paves the way for the follow-up study.On the one hand,through sorting out the development of artistic conception theory,this paper refines the core content of artistic conception theory and understands the philosophical basis of artistic conception;on the other hand,artistic conception theory is rooted in oriental civilization,and film art is born from western civilization.There are different cultural bases and aesthetic preferences between the two civilizations.This paper discusses the dilemma of combining artistic conception theory with film art and the solution presented by Zhang Yimou’s film.Secondly,the paper combs the works directed by Zhang Yimou and discusses the construction of artistic conception in them.This problem shouldn’t be treated in general terms.According to the analysis of the typical artistic conception style of each stage,three main artistic conception patterns are summed up: "the first stage: the sorrowful artistic conception","the second stage: the plain artistic conception" and "the third stage: the formalized artistic conception of inner weakness".At the same time,this paper studies the method of constructing artistic conception in Zhang Yimou’s films,and sums up the way of constructing artistic conception in films.In this part of research,the article takes the theory system of artistic conception as the theoretical foundation,absorbs the aesthetic experience theory of practical aesthetics,and analyzes the cause of aesthetic experience in Zhang Yimou’s movie.Finally,this paper summarizes the characteristics of Zhang Yimou’s film artistic conception,and expounds the aesthetic value of Zhang Yimou’s film artistic conception from two aspects: the role of artistic conception in Zhang Yimou’s film and the significance of Zhang Yimou’s artistic conception in the audience and film development.
