Qufu is the hometown of Confucius, the birthplace of Confucian culture, and has rich historical and cultural resources.Inscriptions are one of them. The number of inscriptions in Qufu is very rich, mainly distributed in Confucius Temple,Yan Temple,Zhougong Temple,Nishan Academy and other places. The content is mostly related to Confucius and Confucian culture, and Qufu is also called " Confucian Stone Inscriptions Museum."Nishan Academy is located in Nishan, the birthplace of Confucius. It is a typical representative of sacrificial academies in ancient China and one of the famous Confucius Academy. There are a large number of stone tablets recording the development and evolution of Nishan Academy. These stone tablets are symbols of the historical status of Nishan Academy. The contents of the inscriptions are important materials for studying the development of Nishan Academy.By analyzing the contents of the inscriptions of Nishan Academy and combining with the local historical records,we can explore the development history, development characteristics and historical value of Nishan Academy, which is conducive to better protecting the resources of Nishan Academy and Qufu inscriptions and providing reference and enlightenment for the current social development. The Nishan Academy originated from the sacrificial temples established in the Tang Dynasty. After the reconstruction of the lecture hall and the schoolhouse in the Song Dynasty,it had the function of the academy. The Yuan Dynasty was further rebuilt, and a mountain chief was set up for special management, officially known as "Nishan Academy ";during the Ming and Qing Dynasties,it also experienced many expansions and renovations, and was further valued by the government and the Confucius Office." Shanzhang " was changed to " Xuelu " and was appointed by the court.Although in modern times low in the war,but after the founding of New China has been excellent protection.Although it has gone through twists and turns,Nishan Academy has shown a continuous development trend in general : the scale and shape of the building have gradually expanded, the functions have been continuously improved, and the status has been increasingly improved. As the most representative Confucius Academy,Nishan Academy is very different from most of the academies founded by private people in ancient China with the main functions of lectures, book collection and book repair. It is mainly reflected in its remarkable status, integration of temple and school, sacrifice as the main function and enduring. The construction of Nishan Academy was completed with the attention and support of the court and the Confucius Office. Its official subordinates were also specially appointed by the court, and the scale was much higher than other academies.Nishan Academy originated from the sacrificial temples set up because of the birthplace of Confucius. On the basis of sacrificial buildings, lectures and school buildings were added to formally build the academy. Therefore, the function of Nishan Academy is mainly to sacrifice the sages, and the teaching function is not significant.Although the Nishan Academy has not cultivated a famous scholar since its establishment,it has experienced many times of destruction and reconstruction in the course of history and is still fully preserved today.Behind its tenacious vitality is the strong cohesion contained in Confucian culture.Academies are unique places of education in ancient China.Although the ancient Chinese academy system has ceased to exist, the tradition of academy education still has reference significance for modern education. In recent years, the international cultural activities named after ’ Nishan ’ have become more and more abundant. The popularity of Nishan Academy has been greatly improved at home and abroad, which has effectively promoted the understanding and recognition of Chinese excellent traditional culture around the world.
