Rachmaninov was a famous 20th century Russian composer, pianist and conductor. He created a large number of piano works in his lifetime, and his music style is typical of the Russian folk music school of the Romantic period.Paganini Theme Rhapsody(Op.43)is the last work for piano and orchestra created by Rachmaninoff. The music is developed and written based on the musical theme of No.24 of the 24 Violin Rhapsody by Italian violinist and composer Paganini, and contains a variety of complex and difficult piano playing techniques. And 24 variations in different styles, perfectly transforming Paganini’s theme into a grand piano concerto. From the perspective of piano performance, this paper analyzes the musical and artistic features of Paganini Theme Rhapsody based on Rachmaninoff’s version of music for two pianos adapted by Rachmaninoff and combined with the author’s own actual performance experience, and then studies the playing treatment of Paganini theme in the 24 variations of the first piano in this song. And the coordination of the first piano and the second piano concert.
