| With the emergence of big data and new algorithms in the information age,the enormous development of the Internet and software technology,machine translation technology has developed rapidly.The translation mode of machine translation plus post editing can effectively improve the quality and efficiency of translation.The report is based on the translation practice of the first three chapters of the book Blockchain Startups:Bitcoin and Ethereum as the Frontier of Finance.The text falls into the category of popular science books of finance,which is characterized by specialty.The report introduces the development of machine translation and post editing and the translation mode represented by Yi CAT,which is machine translation plus post editing.Under the guidance of communicative translation theory,the author summarized and classified the errors in the machine translation process through case analyses: At the lexical level,when faced with terminologies,polysemy,choice of part of speech,collocations of verb and object and pronouns,the translation of machine will be insufficient;At the syntactic level,machine translation sometimes fails to recognize the logical relationship between the various components of the sentence and the context,which is reflected in errors of the word order,the attributive clause,the logical relationship and the passive voice.Based on this,the author raised corresponding strategies of post editing,including the establishment of terminology database;the voice conversion;the word order adjustment,etc.Finally,the report summarizes the translation methods of informative texts,shares some insights during translation.This report has deepened the author’s understanding of the English-Chinese translation strategies of financial texts,and I hope this report can provide reference for post-editing in relevant fields. |
