Morality has always been the primary quality of "being man"since ancient times.Young students not only understand and learn advanced knowledge of technology and excellent traditional cultural achievements in western countries,but also they have been influenced by variety of social trends and western cultural ideas in the aspects of ideas,values and life styles at the same time.As a required course of higher education in the new era,college English is an important position for cultivating talents in intercultural communication and foreign exchange of our country,and also an important channel for young students to connect with the world.Inevitably,they will be affected by bad ideas.Under the background of the new era,the top priority of the moral education of young students must adhere to the people-oriented principle and carry out moral education in all fields of higher education from the real demands of young students.The integration of moral education into college English teaching is not only the response to new times and trends,but also is of great significance to the fundamental task of "fostering character and civic virtue" in universities.This study is based on the fundamental purpose of training builders and successors for the socialism for higher education in the new era,with guiding general secretary of higher education to an important paper of Xi Jinping and using the methods of questionnaire investigation and interview to induct the existing problems and causes of integration of moral education elements into college English teaching,which explores the effective strategies of moral education elements into college English teaching.The full paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background and significance of the topic,the research status at domestic and foreign countries,the research ideas and methods,and the innovations of the subject research,and this part defines and summarizes the relevant theoretical knowledge.The second part attempts to related concepts and theoretical basis of moral education elements and college English teaching,which sorting out the relevant concepts,clearing the theoretical basis of the paper.The third part expounds the feasibility,inevitability and necessity of integrating moral education elements into college English teaching through the analysis of the current situation of college English education in the new era.The fourth part analyzes the questionnaire investigation through questionnaire survey and interview among college students in Shaanxi Province.The fifth part finds the deficiencies of penetration of moral education elements and analyses the existing problems and reasons.The sixth part is the core part of the paper,it puts forward a series of effective methods to cultivate college students’ moral education in an all-round way from the aspects of students,teachers,textbooks,teaching modes and education environment,and effectively integrates moral education elements with college English teaching.
