Second language acquisition is a relatively new field in applied linguistics.The study of acquisition order has become a hot topic in second language acquisition in recent years.It is a new perspective to study the acquisition of Chinese second language learners from the acquisition order.The multiple meanings of the verb "Xiang" make it possible for second language learners to learn its different meanings in a sequential order.How to find this order? There is no solid research yet.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to investigate the order of acquisition of the polysemous verb "Xiang" based on the previous studies.The project is organized into six chapters.The first introductory paragraph introduces the background and meaning of this paper,compares the results of a study on the order and ontology of learning the polysemous verb "Xiang" and the results of second language teaching at home and abroad,and explicates the theoretical foundations,research methods and corpus sources.Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive analysis of the semantic,syntactic and pragmatic aspects of the verb "Xiang",and summarizes the seven meaning items of "Xiang" and the use of native speakers in the BCC corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University.The seven meanings of "Xiang" and the syntactic features and pragmatic functions of each meaning are summarized and summarized,so as to prepare for the subsequent examination of the mediated corpus and the design of the questionnaire.In Chapter 3,on the basis of ontology research,corpus analysis and error analysis are used to investigate the acquisition order of the polysemous verb "Xiang" from two perspectives: "output" and "error".The acquisition order from the "output" perspective is based on the proportional difference between the output of each item in the mediated corpus and the native corpus;the acquisition order from the "error" perspective is based on the error rate of each item.Finally,the two perspectives are combined to draw up a preliminary acquisition order of the polysemous verb "Xiang".The order of acquisition of "Xiang" is obtained by combining these two perspectives.The fourth chapter adopts the questionnaire method,and the results of the questionnaire analysis are used to further supplement the acquisition situation of junior high level learners of Chinese.Chapter 5 is aimed at the study of second language teaching,examining the order of the meaning items of the polysemous verb "Xiang" in the textbook,and suggesting the second language teaching of the polysemous verb "Xiang" from the perspectives of both textbook arrangement and teachers’ classroom teaching in conjunction with the error analysis in Chapter 3.Chapter 6 concludes with a summary of the main points of the text and points out the limitations of the paper.
