The introduction is the beginning of classroom teaching and is the first part of the whole lesson.A well-designed introduction can enhance students’ interest in learning Chinese and their desire to explore, and lay the emotional and intellectual foundation for the explanation of language points and texts in the lecture. However,in the classroom of integrated Chinese classes for foreigners, teachers often neglect the introduction session, and the phenomenon of teachers leading alone, students’ inattentiveness and brief skimming in a passing and straightforward manner occurs. This paper attempts to use the scaffolding teaching method to design the introduction session of an integrated online Chinese class, analyzing the objectives and the applicability in principle of the scaffolding teaching method to the introduction session of an integrated class, with the intention of increasing international Chinese teachers’ attention to the introduction The purpose of this paper is to raise international Chinese teachers’ attention to the introductory session, provoke Chinese learners to think about different topics from a cross-cultural perspective through the reasonable and effective construction of different kinds of scaffolds, and help students to complete the construction and transformation of meaning in their nearest developmental zone,so as to realize the double transition role of the introductory session. The paper is divided into six parts: the first part is the introduction, which focuses on the importance of the introduction and the theoretical and practical significance of applying the scaffolding method to the introduction of integrated lessons;the second part reviews the literature on classroom introduction and the application of the scaffolding method at home and abroad;the third part introduces the definition, types and application of the scaffolding method.Part 3 introduces the definition, types and principles of scaffolding teaching method and elaborates on the theoretical foundations of observational learning theory and the nearest development zone, and analyses in detail the suitability of the scaffolding teaching method for the introduction of an integrated class;Part 4 designs a teaching case based on the scaffolding teaching method for the introduction of an integrated online Chinese class, and makes a preliminary analysis of the specific plan of the teaching design in terms of the teaching object, the teaching objectives and important and difficult points, and the general idea of the teaching design, taking the textbook The teaching materials "Developing Chinese-Intermediate Comprehensive" are used as an example,in which each unit is divided into three sections of teaching: vocabulary, text and language points. In the fifth part, based on the design of lead-in case and teaching practice,we put forward teaching suggestions from the perspective of the operation process of the scaffolding teaching method: using scaffolding to mobilize emotions;improving the context for the topic;inspiring and guiding for independent exploration;collaborating and interacting;evaluating the effect and giving positive feedback.
