Research On The Application Of Image Symbol In Art Therapy Animation

With the rapid development of society,especially in the post-epidemic period,people pay more and more attention to mental health conditions,and the unique value and role of art therapy,a special psychological therapy,is gradually emerging in the psychological treatment.Video art has a unique position in the field of art therapy because it covers more expressive resources,narrative space and emotional elements.As a video art,animation is also a form of art therapy,but little attention.Through the analysis of the application of image symbols in art therapy animation,this paper studies how animation plays its unique role in art therapy,and analyzes the categories and characteristics of image symbols in art therapy animation from the perspective of semiotics.After summary,it is applied to the animation short film Beyond Words for graduation design,and the function of image symbol in the short film is analyzed.To interpret the conception method of art therapy animation in visual design,as well as the artistic skills to express its deep meaning.Finally,I believe that the metaphorical performance of visual symbols and auditory symbols can serve the creation of art therapy animation,and have a certain reference for the rapid development of animation in the field of art therapy.It is hoped that this article can provide new ideas for the creators of this type of animation.
