| Steve Larson is an American music theorist and educator.Based on the conceptual metaphor theory,he put forward the theory of "Musical Forces",and in his book Musical Forces: Motion,Metaphor,and Meaning in Music,he discussed in detail the relevant research results about the theory of "Musical Forces".This theory is mainly based on the metaphor that "Musical Succession Is Physical Motion".Larson metaphorically refers to our experience of music movement as the embodied experience of physical movement,and thus defines "melodic gravity","melodic magnetism" and "musical inertia".Through the elaboration of related concepts,the author also combs and explains the related problems of musical meaning.By refining the related viewpoints of "meaning" in Larsen’s theory,starting from the meaning construction,and combing the core content of Larson’s theory of "Musical Forces",the author studies the embodiment of meaning construction in his theory and the expansion of analytical model,making the theory an effective and easy-to-master analytical tool,and also trying to explain the path of meaning construction in the analysis of music theory.This paper consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction includes the reason and significance of the topic,an overview of the research status and the research ideas and methods of this topic.The text consists of four chapters: the first chapter is the connotation of meaning construction and its related music analysis theory,which mainly includes combing the meaning of meaning construction,its embodiment in music analysis theory and the concrete embodiment in Larson’s "Musical Forces";The second chapter is the construction of meaning and the application practice and analysis model of Larson’s "Musical Forces" theory;The third chapter is the analysis model and expansion research from the perspective of meaning construction,focusing on the specific expansion analysis practice of tonal music and atonal music;The fourth chapter is the significance of expanding the research on Larson’s "Musical Forces" theory and analytical model from the perspective of meaning construction.The conclusion part is the refinement and generalization of this writing idea,as well as the application thinking and prospect of Larson’s "Musical Forces" theory and meaning construction analysis method. |
