| With the pressure of going to public schools,many students are no longer exposed to the arts.Research shows that combining the arts with math and science produces better students.As an alternative to classroom instruction,museum education can be used not only to develop artistic skills,but to assimilate those skills into math,science,and engineering.This paper attempts to learn from the practical experience of foreign "Visual Thinking Strategies" and "STEAM Education" projects,relies on the public education of children in museums,pays attention to the power of art in "interdisciplinary integration(STEAM)education",and explores the application of visual thinking strategies to Feasibility and value significance of cross-disciplinary integrated teaching in museums.This paper focuses on whether educators can promote cognitive growth through the interaction of art works in the interdisciplinary integrated teaching of museums,especially whether it is valuable to cultivate the 4C abilities that young people need to have in the 21 st century.The author attempts to investigate the cases of foreign museums implementing "Visual Thinking Strategy" and "STEAM Education" projects,and explores its basic connotation,core concepts,content selection,implementation methods,etc.and accumulates STEAM teaching strategies for domestic museums based on visual thinking strategies initial experience.This article mainly presents specific cases implemented by different types of museums according to different teaching objectives,and provides STEAM educators with intuitive experience and visual thinking in a more three-dimensional and objective way,providing them with a comprehensive understanding.At the same time,this paper explores the challenges and problems faced by the public education of children in museums in China,in order to summarize specific implementation strategies,in order to help the follow-up research of museum public educators.The first chapter of this paper gives a more comprehensive overview of the theory of "visual thinking strategies".This chapter states and summarizes its origin from four aspects,its basic connotation and characteristics,its theoretical basis,and its teaching goals and objectives.The second chapter mainly discusses the "STEAM education" in the museum’s cross-disciplinary integration education.While introducing "STEAM education",it analyzes its core connotation-cross-subject integration,and then discusses the process of developing from STEM education to STEAM education.A”(art)contains the core concept.In STEAM education,what is the value and significance of its addition and how to really exert its value are all issues that need to be discussed and studied in this chapter.Most importantly,through the case analysis method,it summarizes and states the current application status of STEAM education in the special field of museums."Visual thinking strategy" is one of the teaching methods implemented in foreign art courses.After discussing the meaning of "A",the last section of this chapter links the content of Chapter 1 to discuss the application of visual thinking strategy in the special field of museums.Advantages in interdisciplinary integrated teaching.The third chapter,as an important chapter of this paper,will specifically elaborate the teaching advantages of the visual thinking teaching method and separately discuss the function and value of the visual thinking strategy in the integrated education of museums.Finally,the fourth chapter will be based on the content discussed in the first three chapters,combined with the current situation of children’s public education in domestic museums,looking forward to the future,and specifically expounding the challenges and opportunities faced by the museum’s cross-disciplinary integrated children’s public education program,to explore strategies for coping and implementation.This paper combines aesthetic development theories,children’s learning theories,and children’s thinking development theories to explore children’s cognitive abilities,and applies visual thinking teaching strategies to the research on public education in museums in China.In this context,it can provide some help and reference to better realize the core literacy from aesthetics to creation. |
