| The advent of multimedia and the Internet has facilitated the advancement of modern science and technology,and the proliferation of visual information has reinforced people’s reliance on their visual senses.Visual thinking has increasingly become an important way for modern people to grasp information about the world,and the ability to think intuitively about the images presented has become a key skill.Visual literacy is the ability to recognize,interpret,create and transfer visual images to other areas of learning and life.Looking at the current research on "visual literacy" at home and abroad,foreign countries began to pay attention to the cultivation of children’s visual literacy in the 1960 s,and the concept of visual literacy cultivation has penetrated into every aspect of children’s education so far;domestic research on visual literacy education is still in its initial stage,mostly focusing on teaching research,and in the teaching process The research on visual literacy education in China is still in its infancy,mostly focusing on pedagogical research,in which the improvement of visual literacy is incorporated into the teaching process,but the research that combines with museum aesthetic education is less,and even in many places has not yet attracted high attention.This study explores how museum aesthetic education can better contribute to the enhancement of children’s visual literacy from the perspective of museum aesthetic education.First,the association between museum aesthetic education and children’s visual literacy is analyzed,and the characteristics of museum aesthetic education in terms of intuitiveness,flexibility,and contextuality are introduced,which play a positive role in evoking children’s aesthetic sensibility,enhancing their image comprehension,stimulating their artistic expression,and improving their emotional expression.Secondly,the ways of museum aesthetic education to enhance children’s visual literacy are explored,which are explained in three aspects: responding to children’s aesthetic psychological characteristics,developing diversified aesthetic education activities,and strengthening the aesthetic education model of museum-school cooperation.The form of the exhibition and the design of the exhibition line should be based on children’s psychological characteristics,and children’s visual literacy should be enhanced through diversified aesthetic education activities of game style,contextual style,inquiry style and digital style,and through strengthening the cooperation between museums and schools.Finally,a case study of the Luoyang Museum was conducted to investigate and analyze the current situation of the aesthetic education activities carried out by the Luoyang Museum to improve children’s visual literacy,and to summarize the shortcomings of the activities,such as the lack of clarity of the target audience,the lack of systematic content,and the lack of diversification of methods.Taking the "Tang Sancai Exhibition" of the Luoyang Museum as an example,we designed three museum aesthetic education activities,integrating the dimension of "visual literacy" in the design of the activities,through question-led,cooperative inquiry and hands-on methods,aiming to provide reference for the practice of museum aesthetic education activities. |
