| Gong Xian and Li Keran are both masters in the history of Chinese landscape painting,particularly in the technique of ink accumulation.They not only constructed their own ink-accumulation techniques but also left behind many ink-accumulation landscape works and theories.In the diverse field of Chinese painting,their ink-accumulation techniques have high research value.Despite not belonging to the same era,Gong Xian and Li Keran have many similarities and differences in their ink-accumulation techniques.Through a longitudinal comparison,we can clearly compare the highlights of their respective ink-accumulation techniques while also glimpsing different artistic visions behind their stylistic formation.By conducting a comparative study of Gong Xian and Li Keran,new perspectives can be provided for studying the common rules behind their respective styles and the internal factors that led to their successes.In the comparative study of Gong Xian and Li Keran’s ink-accumulation techniques,the author mainly focuses on four aspects: an overview of their techniques,expression characteristics,aesthetic connotations,evaluation,and influence.Firstly,by tracing the origins of ink-accumulation techniques in landscape painting,we can roughly grasp the context of their development,and then uncover Li Keran’s discovery and inheritance of Gong Xian’s ink-accumulation beauty,establishing a direct relationship between the two masters and the technique.Secondly,by comparing the expression characteristics of Gong Xian and Li Keran’s ink-accumulation techniques,from the structure of trees and mountains to the relationship between brushwork and ink-accumulation,we can analyze their similarities and differences,including traditional and modern evaluation perspectives,and objectively discuss the ink-expression characteristics of the two masters’ works.Thirdly,starting from the aesthetic connotations,we explore the rich spiritual world of Gong Xian and Li Keran from three aspects-black-and-white relationships in ink-accumulation techniques,pursuit of artistic conception,and formation of aesthetic concepts-fully describing the creative power of their spiritual worlds,and delving into the core of ink-accumulation technique aesthetic connotations.Finally,the author also compared the historical evaluation and influence of Gong Xian and Li Keran,striving to restore their historical status,and sorting out the range and depth of the ink-accumulation techniques they created. |
