The restoration of water and land painting,because of its complex and diverse situations,has always been the difficulty in the restoration of calligraphy and painting.Specifically,it can be subdivided into two categories.One is the royal or official water and land paintings,museums collection and research more.In contrast,a large number of water and land paintings originated from the folk,scattered among farmers,villages,rural temples,antique markets or private collectors.There is a lot of correlation between the restoration of this kind of water and land painting and the restoration of traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting works,but compared with traditional calligraphy and painting works,the preservation conditions,damage,paper carrier,used pigments are very different.However,in the actual restoration operation,the restoration cases that can be used for reference are rare.Therefore,this paper selects a waterland painting from the folk painters--The waterland painting axis of Daoist Taiyi Saving Bitter Tianzun in the Republic of China,and takes it as the research object to explore the restoration techniques.This paper is divided into five parts: the introduction part explains the background and significance of selecting The waterland painting axis of Taiyi Saving Bitter Tianzun in the Daoism of the Republic of China for restoration and exploration,and expounds the research content and methods,research characteristics and innovation points.The first chapter mainly records the basic information of the work,including the size,mounting shape and picture content of the painting.By summarizing the preservation status of the work,the reasons for the damage of the picture are analyzed,so as to formulate a scientific and reasonable restoration plan.The second chapter mainly focuses on a series of preparatory work before the restoration,including photo archiving,technological detection and analysis,and removal of diseases and pests on the paintings.The third chapter is about the specific restoration exploration and practice,and records the specific restoration operation process,including the removal of old mounting,dust removal,color fixing,painting washing,unmounting,repairing,pasting,panchromatic and other procedures.The fourth chapter is the conclusion,which mainly evaluates the restoration effect of the painting systematically.
