Reading is the driving force for students to build a healthy mind and an interesting world.It’s also a free journey for students’ mental development,and the best way to meet themselves.Reading is an important part of English learning and teaching.It is the basic way to learn language knowledge,and it can develop English comprehensive ability.However,there are so many difficulties in English rending course.Most of students lack of interest in reading,and they can not interact with teachers,which seriously affects the improvement of students’ English reading ability.Based on this,as an innovative education method,Blended learning arises at the historic moment.Blended learning not only improves students’ English learning ability,but also reflects students’ subjective status.And it has important implications for the improvement of students’ comprehensive ability and core literacy.On the basis of consulting literature,research theories and observation,this paper will be based on constructivism theory and autonomous learning theory.A class of students in the second grade of junior high school are selected as the research subjects.Huang Ronghuai’s blended learning model was used as the basis for the curriculum design in this paper.According to the characteristics of English,the blended teaching model was applied to the actual teaching process.In order to explore the blended teaching model’s effective application in English reading teaching.In junior high school,this paper aims to study the following two points: 1.How to apply blended teaching to English reading teaching in junior high school? 2.What is the impact of blended teaching on junior high school students’ English reading interest and reading ability?This study mainly adopts the method of questionnaire survey,interview and test,and uses SPSS for data analysis.Through the 12-week teaching implementation,the author finds that the English reading course based on blended teaching model can better stimulate students’ interest in reading,which is different from traditional teaching.Student’s autonomous learning ability is enhanced,and the individual needs of students are also met.At the same time,it can promote students’ application of English reading skills.This also proves the feasibility and effectiveness of the blended teaching model,and the conclusion shows that it can improve students’ English reading performance to a certain extent.
