Tibetan art has a profound historical and cultural tradition,and its temple murals and Thangka are well-known at home and abroad and have been influenced so far;Remarkable achievements have also been made in the development of modern and contemporary art,with a large number of works reflecting the social style,humanistic spirit and plateau scenery of Tibet in the new period;The description of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau has also made a number of artists who shine through the history of modern Chinese art.The history of modern and contemporary art in Tibet shows the historical development context with its own characteristics,which can be summarized into two major development stages,three narrative logics and two subject turns.Socialist realistic art once became the mainstream style of art for a long time.In the development of modern and contemporary art in Tibet,the exhibition has played an important role.It is not only a witness to the maturity of artists’ own art practice,but also a recorder of the development of modern and contemporary art in Tibet.This paper selects the important exhibition cases in Tibet since the founding of new China as the research object,combined with the specific social development reality of Tibet and the cultural and cultural situation at the macro level,as well as the relevant research on the history of contemporary art and art criticism,and borrows the vision and research methods of new historicism to analyze and study the historical texts of modern and contemporary art exhibitions in Tibet,with the purpose of combing the modern and contemporary art exhibitions in Tibet since the 1950 s,Clarify the internal logic of the occurrence and development of modern and contemporary art in Tibet,and provide a theoretical understanding of the relationship between art and mainstream ideology,art and society,exhibition history and art history in the same frequency resonance of diachronic and synchronic texts.In a sense,exhibition history is a history of writing and thinking,which requires historical writing to preserve a state of thinking,which is undoubtedly the realization and historization of thought.
