A Probe Into The Narrative Strategies Of Juvenile Crime Films

In 1985,a Chinese juvenile crime film "Juvenile Offender" was premiered in Shanghai,and was released nationwide and watched by primary and secondary schools.Its popularity in that year can even be compared with Shaolin Temple.Its educational significance is also surprisingly great.The intentional wounding,theft,robbery and other crimes in the film make the audience deeply reflect on the huge social topic of juvenile delinquency.And "Yours as a Young Man",released in 2019,also triggered social debate again.The campus bully once again made the audience talk about juvenile delinquency.As a popular culture that has received wide attention,movies,with their strong audio-visual expression,content infection,and artistic image,have moved and educated the audience,causing them to have a strong resonance after watching the film,and thus arousing attention to relevant issues.Due to its powerful social issue function,juvenile delinquency movies are more likely to attract attention from all levels of society.Firstly,based on the existing domestic research results of juvenile delinquency films,this article defines the concept of this type of film,elaborates on the differences in the social foundation and image appeal between China and the West in its development process,and then elaborates on the development context of this type of film in China.Secondly,this article explores the narrative content,narrative structure,and psychological characteristics of the characters in juvenile crime movies,and analyzes the narrative structure,psychological characteristics,psychological changes,and narrative space of different characters in juvenile crime movies combined with the feature film "Black Street".Finally,this article analyzes the feature film "Black Street" from the perspective of audio-visual means of video and regional style presentation.
