| “Trainair Plus Programme” is a aviation cooperative network consisting of aviation training organizations and industry partners for the purpose of working together to develop ICAO-recognized standardized training packages so as to enhance the competency of aviation personnel and promotes aviation safety and efficiency.The translation of TPP related literature is conducive to a systematical research on ICAO aviation training policies and is of great significance to further improve the training system of China civil aviation.This paper is a practice report on the English translation of TPP related literature.Based on YICAT translation platform,the translation practice is completed through “machine translation+post-editing”(MTPE)under the guidance of the three principles of civil aviation English translation.Abundant problems are exposed in the process of machine translation,including non-standardized term translations,rigid sentence translations,incoherent paragraphs,and errors in the translation of figures and tables.The translation strategies are analyzed combined with translation cases from the three aspects of vocabulary,syntax,and discourse.The practice report is expected to provide reference for the future civil aviation translation practices and further enrich the civil aviation translation theories. |
