With the increasing exchange and communication between countries under the context of globalization, court interpreting is becoming more and more widespread, and the standard for court interpreters is becoming higher and higher. On November15,2019,the International Court of Arbitration for Sport(CAS)held a hearing on the case of World Anti-Doping Organization(WADA)v.Sun Yang’s "Resistance to Testing".The interpreting has triggered discussions and reflections within and outside translation academia on issues such as interpretation behavior patterns and court interpreting strategies.Based on the theory of eco-translatology,this thesis studied and analyzed the interpreter’s adaptative selection and selective adaptation in the specific interpreting ecological environment of court interpreting with the research method of conversation analysis.Part of the consecutive interpreting in Sun Yang’s hearing was selected.Interpreting strategies were analyzed from the three dimensions of eco-translatology,language,culture and communication. The study finds that when selecting interpreting strategies to accurately transmit information, the interpreter in Sun Yang’s hearing mainly selected interpreting strategies such as omission, literal translation, free translation and amplification based on linguistic and communicative dimensions in order to adapt to court interpreting ecology as much as possible. The study has explored the application of eco-translation study to court interpreting, with a view of providing reference and new vision for court interpreting practice and training through an analytical study of the interpreting behavior of the interpreter.
